I found some "practice" servers to fly. What sucks is even though they are clearly labeled as such anytime I was flying, I'd have soldiers with guided missles shoot me down. I also had planes attacking the base BEFORE I even entered a jet. Like literally fly over to the RU spawn and shoot me as I am climbing in. I had my copter shot down and I went out to repair it and this dude comes up and I don't shoot him because I think "No, he wouldn't" and he lit me up with his assault rifle. Who gets their kicks by going on a server with 10 beginners and shoots them?

The kind of people that can't get 10 kills on a regular server.

Ah, very true. I guess I was lucky with only playing co-op with friends. BF2 'singleplayer' skirmish mode is still the best way to go.
 
Game informer doesn't have a concrete source. They are just citing Eurogamer, NeoGAF.

There are also many things wrong with the flyer itself.

Looks like its made in Microsoft Word
Why is number "3" cut away?
The whole thing is badly spelled and has awkward sentences.
WTF is ACB-90 knife?
Are they really advertising one dog tag and Platoon decals?
 
Am I understanding this correctly, but for the premium service, it's only 50 bucks? And that includes all the DLC maps on top of all the extra perks that I don't really care for. That's a damn good deal if you ask me, 50 bucks for a shit ton of new maps.

Has BF3 come out with any map packs besides Return to Karg? Speaking of, what is that? I have it and don't even know what it is. Is it just one map or a pack?

It's an expansion with BF2 maps "re-imagined" for BF3 as well as new weapons, vehicles, achievements, etc.
 
Anyone else having trouble getting in to the game tonight? I keep getting an error at the logging in stage of joining a server "You were disconnected from EA Online (1)."

Yea, major outage occurred for the London Rackspace host. I think it was EA wide, all games (not just BF3) and all platforms.

I did repair install from the Origin client and it patched the game. I was then able to log in and play. I played two matches on a Metro conquest server, and then moved to another server and started getting kicked by Punkbuster for failure to communicate with the B service. Went through the manual install/repair for PB and was still getting kicked. So I gave up for the night.
