The guy jihading with jets and choppers was amazing also. Never though to plant c4 on the F35. Just turn it into a guided missile. Then it will actually have a use.
I just don't see how people can be so precise flying jets and helis like in those videos. Its so twitchy to me. :/
I watched a youtube video of the #1 pilot in bf3. He uses keyboard for flying..then reaches over to use mouse to aim at targets on the ground. Its really smooth. When i do it, even with mouse on lowest sensitivity it just moves like 1 inch over at a time..but his is smooth on screen.
Anything higher than 800 sen on mouse it just jerks like crazy around.
Flying around in air, doing loops, etc is fine..feels smooth. Its just when i want to do precision aiming. like flying under bridge, aiming at tanks/troops, etc.
I'm going to mess with it more naturally.

I just started using KB/M for helo flying, I'm kinda liking it. Extremely precise once I got it dialed in. I use a Deathadder mouse so I can change sensitivity on the fly, it definitely helps.

I looks from videos he does not use afterburner unless he is turning. Or i'm just imagining that. lol
I got my first kill with jet today. But i fumble with keys untill i get better so instead going up from the attack i went down into the tank i just killed. lol
But i was fun.
Someone in game mentioned they are suppose to redue jet controls to make them easier to understand in next patch.

Hmm... It seems like the brake turning method trumps constant-speed turning. It does explain how the top aces are always able to wipe me out in a few turns.

The CO-OP helo mission has helped me a bunch. Either learn to fly it or never pass it, plus you don't get the public humiliation.
Now...to test the waters in multiplayer.

I find it far easy to bind pitch up to spacebar, and then just keep my hand on the mouse. Once you realize that 90% of your manuevering is down by rotating and then using pitch up this way becomes really easy, and you never have to hunt for your mouse. Also, you can actually use the POV/mouselook in the cockpit which is really usefull for patrolling the outside of the map and spotting, or watching their runway for jet spawns. I'm getting much better the more I fly, but it's really just dependent on what my team is like.
If your team is bad it's hard to do anything let alone flying.
I swear I've seen UH-1Y Venom launching flares even though transport choppers get no upgrades.

LOL i couldn't fly if my life depended on it if anything i freaking just love the tanks and with some maps such as metro i had to convert from the m249 as my all time favorite gun to the usas 12 shotgun but at least i haven't converted to full tube noober just yet
Large and in charge is how you have to be put that freaking m16 away its not gonna fly in some of these maps:awe:
I feel like an idiot. I've never recalled seeing "X to launch flares" while piloting a Venom. I've always relied on out-maneuvering stingers and letting the engineers repair.

I tried my 360 controller but stopped when I realized how slowly it responds in game. You will not outfly a good keyboard/mouse pilot with the 360 controller.

Do you fly attack helicopters very often? I recently got the ECM Jammer unlock and that, coupled with the Below Radar unlock and some fancy close to the ground flying have made me nearly invincible to missile fire.
Now my problem is that by hugging the ground to avoid getting locked onto, I'm a sitting duck for jets to angle in from above me and waste me with their guns. I figure that my side's jets will have to help me out on that one - I'm busy taking out ground targets with my rockets anyways.
