I feel like an idiot. I've never recalled seeing "X to launch flares" while piloting a Venom. I've always relied on out-maneuvering stingers and letting the engineers repair.
LOL it happens

Does anyone know what the hack is that lets you shoot anyone anywhere on the map?
That hack is killing the game for me. Apparently, punkbuster doesnt catch it. I have had to report 10 players in the past 3 gaming sessions for using it. One guy went to 100-1 before the server admin suspected he "might be cheating". The fact that he was shooting players all over the map from an aircraft carrier with a non-scoped 44 magnum w/ 100% accuracy rate apparently didnt give him away.

What does this mean..Random “Bad Luck” deaths will be fixed across all platforms.
Does that mean we auto-kill option? 😛
Next DLC Rumor: All American DLC pack
( FWIW. Saw references on many news sites, but this YouTube video seems to be the original source.)
summary?
Battlefield 3 DLC Rumor All American Map Pack
David Veselka. January 28, 2012 Battlefield, Battlefield 3, News
Today, we have a very interesting rumor coming from YouTuber, TheAustrianToast, regarding DICEs plans for future Battlefield 3 DLC.
In a dual commentary with DCRUColin, TheAustrianToast revealed, I have a source telling me that there will be an all American DLC. He added that these maps would be based on locations like New York City, Miami, New Jearsey, and I think it was San Francisco.
Before Battlefield fans get a little too excited, since his sources were never revealed, we have to consider this a fairly wild but rather likely rumor. Rather likely, because if we take a look at the recent Back to Karkand maps, they are already based on various cities in the Middle East. This also seems to be the overall theme with Battlefield 3 environments within city limits, as opposed to Battlefield: Bad Comany 2′s more open environments. It would make sense for DICE to stick with what the Frostbite 2 engine seems to do really well.
TheAustrianToast later stated in this commentary, I mean, the all American DLC pack is a great idea and should actually come out middle, or in the beginning of summer.
Lastly, a while back, DICE mentioned that they werent into making map packs, but rather expansions. This would most likely mean that we would also see a new set of weapons, vehicles, and assignments much like the recent Back to Karkand expansion. On top of Battlefield 2143 rumors, DICE also considered the idea of a snow-themed expansion, something many Battlefield 3 fans have been craving since Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Let us know your thoughts in the comments. Does this rumor seem likely to you? Would you love to drive a tank down the streets of New York City in an all American themed DLC?

Here is the change log for Battlelog Update #5:
- The News section is now available without logging in.
- Changed browser detection to be less invasive (the yellow bar is no more). Instead, an inline popup will be displayed when trying to launch the game from unsupported software of devices, detailing what is wrong.
- Anyone who has played BF3 can now log in to Battlelog. Previously an Online Pass was required.
- When getting disconnected from the game, the Game Manager will display a "Reconnect" button.
- The game server detail page will now display the server description and server message, if available.
+ lots of bug fixes

Perhaps all you hardcore i5 and i7 users won't notice....but cpu usage for my i3 2100 has went up basically since this update and gameplay has became very choppy as of this afternoon.
Weird. I'm also using a 2100 and I haven't noticed any performance degradation.

I just pulled out of a very choppy 64 player metro map and i had a couple other folks exclaiming choppy gameplay as well now.
I tried Metro in a 56 player map and caspian in both 64 player and 48 i believe and just very choppy and cpu usage has jumped up enough to basically render my i3 2100 obsolete in better words :awe:
Try opening up the Windows Task Manager and disabling stuff that you don't need while playing BF3...
I normally disable most non system applications and my virus/adware/spyware scanner, windows common event manager, MS security...etc
Sometimes it may be an application that you recently updated that starts taking more system memory or CPU resources...
When BF3 is open, only origin,2 tabs of chrome are open at most and msi afterburner along with fraps, zero else is running.
But the problem is fixed as i just went out and purchased a 2500k and overall performance is just so much better.
SSDD.
I hope the Feb patch isnt released like Feb 20th
or 28th 🙁
2500k@4.5 and a 6950 unlocked to 6970.
I usually play on high @ 1080p. Yesterday I noticed a few more slowdowns in performance when playing on Golf of Oman. I'm not sure if its related to the issues others have had.
