TSLA got murdered today!

....probably goes back up like it always does....

Just a big short trap. They get suckered in every time.

If anyone manages to time the end of this bull run they're going to get fat.

Could happen anywhere from next month to 5 years from now.

That's the problem. Humans aren't bad at detecting lows (or near lows) - probably because often times lows happen quickly instead of gradually....

Where we suck at humans (and random is better as proven by a study of monkeys throwing darts) is knowing the high-points - or rather, when to sell....

Which speaking of that - anyone here ever gotten adventurous in life enough to do something like sell your 401k assets thinking there will be a correction?

EDIT: And my 2 main holdings right now are AMD and CMG. Both are having earnings reports in late April. I'm hoping for good earnings, plan to sell after a spike, and then cash out for a bit (as far as my individual stock investments).

You're sitting in a good spot. My advice would be - don't get so enamored by the idea of selling out at 30 that you ride it all the way back down into the low twenties if things don't break your way. Have a floor in mind.

I think you should be ok. That partnership with Google will support AMD in the near term, I would imagine.

Can someone please explain to me how a stock can beat estimates, beat revenue/sales, give guidance in-line with expectations and proceed to drop 5%?

Lisa already stated on her last CC that Q1 will be soft and will pick up in the 2nd half of 2019. They *could* beat estimates and give updated guidance...

Besides the partnership with Google, Amazon already offering additional instance with using Epyc as well.

Just wait for Computex (end of May) where they'll announce Zen2 CPU and Navi GPU.

Sony already confirmed custom CPU and GPU from AMD for their new PS5. I believe Microsoft will show their cards during E3.

Exciting 2nd Half and beyond for AMD
