well that's probably their biggest need position given jenkins last 2 seasons. haven't heard much about him yet though so hope it's a good player.

Well that's embarrasing. They better hope the Chiefs pick doesn't become an all pro and their pick bombs.

Anyway, Pats are up.....

The Ravens weren't going to take Baldwin so it's completely irrelevant.

Why'd Nick Fairley drop in the draft? I bet he wishes the draft was right after the championship game :p - Seems like a really good player *shrug*, maybe something off the field.

Cam Newton was an ok pick. Not much of a draft class this year, so you either hit the jackpot with newton or you fail and you're still the Panthers.

Yeah it worked out for the Ravens, but it would have been embarrassing if Smith was taken 26th.

Bowers must have a really bum knee for everyone to pass him. Before the knee he was going to be like top 5?

Fairley has a bad off the field rep and bad work ethic, I think. But he's a good player when he's focused.

Some concern about his motor, what will he do once he's a millionaire. Also, I think 3-4 teams didn't think he was right for the system, limiting him to just 4-3 teams.

Fairley is one of those 'one-year' wonder guys - he was really just an ordinary player for 2 seasons, then busted out with a huge Jr year - scouts tend to be wary of such guys - and ask why did he basically do nothing the year before?

Not saying he won't be a good nfl player, just that it raises some flags with scouts - toss in the fact that he delivered about 13-15 really cheap shots in games this year, and you've got a potential head-case on your hands

Well I already won $20 and a lunch, I have another $5 bet with a different co-worker with the bears 1st pick.

Him-D lineman
Me- O lineman

$5...big stakes!!!

Nice call. I was happy to see them grab O Line. It was definitely needed. The lines performance was just pathetic in several games last year. I'm sure Cutler is pleased with this pick also. :D

Yeah for sure. The O-line got better as the season progressed, but it was obvious that they needed help there.

Well at least one person isn't happy with the draft results.

It's been fun New Orleans.  about 1 hour ago via Echofon

I don't think the Saints will miss him too much if he does leave. He's a great athlete, but not much of a running back (especially between the tackles). He was a nice threat as a receiver out of the backfield, though.

they'll try to resign him, but it will be as a utility back and he probably will try and go somewhere else that overpays him.

He could raise the Lion's d-line to a new level, they have a LOT of depth there now

I fell asleep after pick...4...but I'm pretty happy with how it went. Some pretty good talent still hanging around for Round 2 as well.

I don't get all his angst. He's never been a feature back and he seems to get injured all the time. How will it be any different with Ingrim?

He thinks he is a feature RB. Then his team trades up a ton to get a guy that plays his position. Pretty obvious they don't give up that much to get someone they expect to be a backup.

I guess I was questioning why he thinks he is a feature back. He's been in the league a pretty long time now and hasn't materialized into one yet, and he gets injured all the time. He should have seen it coming IMO, not be surprised by it.
