Tebow already is a bust according to talking heads. At least Timmay is humble and is likable, and doesn't think he's already a celebrity after playing one year like Fame Newton.
tebow has not had enough time in yet to be considered a bust.

As high as he was drafted makes him a bust. If he was taken in the 3rd round, then no, not a bust yet. But a 1st rounder and everything they gave up to get into that spot...yeah, bust. No epic level bust, but still a bust.

It's the Vince Young effect. Once you see a qb who can make plays on his own, keep plays alive, etc its always in the back of your mind. So, when you see a qb who has some of those qualities it counts for more than if you are used to say a Brady, who almost always works from the pocket.

I think the Titans are hoping for an almost as mobile Vince Young who actually can complete some passes.

At the same time, you'd think they'd have learned, after getting burned by Vince Young. Young was a much better college QB than Locker, and way more mobile.

Having a great QB that's also mobile is certainly a plus (Steve Young, John Elway). Having a great athlete that can play QB is not so great (Vince Young, Jake Plummer). Personally, I'm putting Locker in the latter category...but I guess we'll see.

As a bears fan, I am actually very frightened of the Lions D-Line now.

I would be too. After the pick I was like WTF, they took Suh first last year, then a second later I was thinking just how disruptive a complete DLine can be, and how long it has been since my SeaChix have had a great dlineman. Great move by the Lions.

Happy with the Cardinals pick. Since they need basically every position, it's a good start. I hope the Panthers will be happy with Jamarcus Newton

He's started and played 3 regular season games and he won 2 of them. You have no idea WTF you're talking about. Once he gets to start, and actually play - then determination can be made.

Have you seen the Lions secondary? Alphonso Smith single handedly lost several games for the Lions last year. Literally, by himself he lost games, just him. And he is the worst of their defensive backs, but hardly the only terrible one out there.

So instead of picking Prince Amakumura, who they have a great need for, and who will obviously be a good, maybe not great, but probably much better then what they have cornerback. They pick this lazy ass Nick Fairley who was projected to go in the top 3 at first, until everyone realized that he only played well one year. And even in that year, he only played 1 or 2 down's for every 5-6 down's played.

I guess if you want the next Albert Hanesworth, then fine. Suh never takes a down off. Fairley blows shit up when he plays, too bad HE decides when he is going to play and when he isn't. We'll see, maybe he'll get his act together. I remember when my Broncos were projected to pick him, I was hoping and praying it wouldn't happen. Thank god everyone came to their senses about him.

lol - that makes no sense. Aaron Rogers was drafted in the first round and only threw 1 touchdown in his first 3 years with the team. What a giant BUST!
QBs are an entirely different deal in the draft. You pick one who can be a star. Most other positions, you are right though. If you are picked in round 1/2 you better be able to come in and play right away.

Well the Pat's pick is a fairly good indicator that Matt Light won't be resigned. He's getting up there in age and you could see this year that he was starting to have difficulties against the better pass rushers. The O-Line should be solid for the rest of Brady's time with him, Volmer, Connelly, and hopefully they can somehow resign Mankins.

Speculation is they'll give up the first pick of the 2nd round to someone looking to get Dalton.

Haha, I'm hoping they play Max Hall again and go 0-16 so they have a shot at Luck. Of course, they still need Oline to protect any future QB. Cards a mess right now.

I don't see the Pats holding on to #33. They love trading down too much and there's too many coaches who have had the entire night to think about getting Dalton. Probably in exchange to one of the crappy teams for something like a 3rd round this year + 2nd round next year or 2 2s for the #33. If they keep trading in exchange for future considerations, Brady's going to be too old by the time they cash it in.

The morning talk show today was joking that by 2030 the Patriots will have accumulated every draft pick for themselves.

That's what happens when you stock your team with steeler has-beens and trade away all your offensive talent.

P.S. Please fire Wisenhunt and sent him back to the steelers so we can get rid of Arians and put Wiz back where he belongs at OC.

I agree with that.

However, imo, it is only delaying the determination that he is a bust.

I don't want to fire Whiz, but the steeler clone thing is getting old. Plus as long as a Bidwell owns this team, the team will continue to stink. Having no qb doesn't help either.

Lion's pass defense was much better than their run defense last year, Alphonso Smith definitely cost them the game against the Patriots but he wasn't as bad as you stated

8th circuit grants stay appeal on lockout. guess that means at some time in the future they will be looking at the appeal for the decision to overturn the lockout itself.

ST. LOUIS

The US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit on Friday granted the NFL's request for a temporary stay, putting the league's lockout back into effect, according to multiple reports. The three-judge panel in St. Louis granted the stay on a temporary basis two days after a federal judge in Minneapolis had denied the same request.
"The purpose of this administrative stay is to give the court sufficient opportunity to consider the merits of the motion for a stay pending appeal," the court said, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
Judge Susan Nelson had granted the players' request for an injunction to lift the NFL lockout Monday, ending a 45-day standoff between the league and the decertified players union.
The Eighth Circuit's decision means players, who had been officially welcomed back to their teams Friday, will be shut out again from participating in workouts or conducting offseason activities at team facilities.

skins still have not taken a QB, have 1 more pick this round. as a skins fan i am not used to them having picks so i am a little in shock that they are using them wisely for once
