that has to suck, have bad record last year and pick this late in draft

If they would have lost the last game to the Rams last season, they would have picked 7th with a 6-10 record. Instead, they go 25th. Big swing, no kidding.

This moment made it so sweet however:

wtf?
I'm following online. Did the Ravens not make their pick on time and therefore now pick after the Chiefs? Or did they make a trade?

I'm watching on ESPN. Ravens ran out of time and passed because they were trying really hard to trade down. This means they can pick any time after. So they let the Chiefs pick 26th and picked Smith 27th.

Meh, Pats? They should have taken Ingram or Bowers. Instead they get the Saints' 2012 1st, which is going to be 25-32.

Well that's embarrasing. They better hope the Chiefs pick doesn't become an all pro and their pick bombs.

Anyway, Pats are up.....

Pats get a 2nd round this year and a first round next year.

Pats loading up for what they hope is salary limited draft next year.

Haha, ESPN is bashing the Pats. They passed on Clay Matthews to trade down when they needed an OLB. Now, they passed on Ingram when they could use a good RB.

Saints got good value with Ingram and Jordan.

I think the Pats are betting on rookie salary cap coming in next year.

Imagine if they could use all their picks and pay out peanuts.

The end of the 1st round really doesn't cost that much... It's the top 15 that makes too much money.

It is perplexing to me too, but you can't argue with the Pats record. Off the top of my head, do they have the best overall record the last 10 years? I think so.
