End of first half. Kidd has 6PTs, 14AST, and 9RB with 2STls. All in 18 minutes. Carter didn't collect anymore points but 21PTs from 9-10 shooting (2-2 3PT FG) in 15 minutes is pure sex.

HTF does toronto expect to compete if they let a PG grab that many boards?

JKidd is still one of the best PG in the game.

IMO, Kidd's rebounding is one of the most overrated things ever. Kidd is a PG, he should leak out and get the break started...but he stays near the basket and grabs the rebounds that come near him. If balls don't bounce his way then he can easily end up with 2-3 boards in a game. But if NJ's big men can't handle rebounds then I suppose Kidd's rebounding is justified.

I love Kidd though. In terms of Phoenix Suns pointguards over the years, he doesn't compare to Kevin Johnson or Nash but he's a great player.

JKidd goes for the rebounds in order to FACILITATE the fast break. he grabs the longer boards and runs it.

KJ was good JKidd is better, KJ was the better scorer, but JKidd is the better QB of a team. JKidd makes other players look much better than they are, eg KMart. shoot, JKidd singlehandedly got KMart a much bigger contract than he deserves.

Jason Kidd is great on the fast break and is a solid team defender, but he is an average half-court point guard because his jumpshot sucks. KJ was the better overall player IMO, and if he ever managed to stay healthy, he'd be considered top 5 all-time among point guards IMO.

Edit: KJ had three years in a row where he averaged over 20 points per game and over 10 assists per game. He would've had 4 in a row but missed out by .3 points per game. He did that while shooting over 50%.

wow. wow.

Miami down 0-3 in their series. and they thought Chicago had it bad by losing to the Nets before end of season to give the Cavs the advantage, Miami is playing like the Wizards would now.
Mavs getting whupped losing 20+ points to GSW in this Game 3 in Oakland

It may be early, but the possiblity -- that both teams that played for the final last year not even get pass the first round -- may become a reality.

I'm (Detroit fan) scared of the Bulls now...

WTF is up with Dallas? Dirk needs to step up and have 30 point games and he needs some support from Terry, Stackhouse, and others.

The MVP is a regular season award of course, but I think it's pretty obvious that Dirk is not as valuable to his team as Nash is. I think he's going to win it though because many voters are using the Mavericks 67 regular season wins as a reason to switch from the "most valuable player on a contending team" to the "best player on the best team" mvp philosophy.

I'm not quite sure what you're saying. The first time Nash led his team to a record with 31 more wins than they had the previous season and he was clearly the most valuable player on that team. In that year, Nash was the most valuable player on a contending team as well as the best player on the best team (best record at least).
