Have you guys heard about the Malkin thing? Apparently he took off while his teams was in finland with his passport and a canadian visa and now nobody knows where he is. His agent and the Penguins are apparently saying that he is ok or they think he is ok.... Almost sounds to me like they have him somewhere safe but hes hiding from something.

I read that he was forced to sign his russian contract because they threatened to shut down his parents restaurant and that he really wanted to play in the NHL.

Anyways I hope he is ok.

Check out this article.

Interesting Bruin's fact...

This is the first time in 12 seasons that they will start the training camp with every player signed and no holdouts...

^ wow, that's the longest contract I've ever heard of. Is it not guaranteed in case of injuries like the NFL ? 😀

They never should've let Luongo go.

One would think Mike Milbury had a hand in this deal. Yashin got a ten-year contract from that dumbass. I didn't believe the Islanders could look any dumber after firing Smith and giving Snow his job.

From the TSN piece; "New York Newsday reports DiPietro is guaranteed the full $67.5 million if he suffers a career-ending injury, but it's not yet clear what would happen if he were to retire before the deal expires."

I'm glad they didn't 😉

Milbury is a goof.

Trades Beard, MaCabe, Bertuzzi, Chara, Luongo and many more top players.

Imagine if they had kept everyone.

Yeah. My buddy, who's a die hard Canucks fan, is pissed off that they didn't re-sign Carter. He was a solid 2nd line player for you guys.
