Shanahan decision in 2-3 days

Nice find. I have to think Shanny would rather come play for the B's than the Blues, as long as we don't lowball him.

Someone on The Globe board linked it.

I think Boston will prolly overpay him, hopefully St. Louis' new owners won't let JD get into a bidding war for him. Detroit's out of it due to cap space.

Roenick signed with Phoenix...so much for wanting to go to a Canadian team...

Edit:

Wow...the Leafs signed Razor to a three year deal before they got to see if he would have a better year than last.

I see Anson Carter likely won't be back with Vancouver...

Boston return? ;)

Rumor is that he will take a discount to be a Leaf :|

Most likely. He's not a bad pick up considering how bad the forward UFA pool was this year.

Or, he didn't do what everyone thought he would in Edmonton, which was be one of their top producers. Although his point totals were respectable, he did it quietly most of the time.

I wouldn't offer him more than $2.75 if I were K.Lowe. He probably wants at least 3.5.

We have plenty of room for him back in E-town! I loved that guy as an Oiler.

Ya, he's a great player and was a perfect match for the Sedins. :|

I can't imagine why he would be on the way out. That was the best line on the Canucks for a good portion of last season!!

I think he wants 3 years at 3 million a year and the rumor is that they are 1 million apart so Canucks probably offered 2 million per but probably for 2 years.

Sammy's overrated.

Watching him in Boston for his entire career gave me fits. He consistantly lost the puck stick handling in the offensive zone. He doesn't have great speed, and he brings nothing to the table physically because of his small size. He's also injury-prone. Even though MOC got hosed when he dealt him to the Oil, I was glad to see him go.

Yeah, he did score some pretty goals, but I don't think he's even worth $2.75mil/year.

Oh, I agree. However, I think he might be a decent pickup at a much lower price...

Of course once again Regier sits around with his thumb up his butt and won't make any deals on free agents... I hate you Sabres!

And why the hell aren't we offering our best veteran leader, in Grier, a contract? I hate you Sabres!
