VP's who became president in the last 100 years, from memory:

Truman (via death, then elected)
Nixon (lost, then won)
Johnson (via death, then elected)
Biden
Bush 41 too (Willie Horton, then elected)

and the curious case of:

Ford (Agnew resigned, Nixon resigned, then POTUS, then lost)

I think Jill and Biden's inner circle all need mental health evaluations. What they are doing is just terrible.

Have you looked in a mirror recently?
Yes. And I'm smiling because the writing is on the wall, Biden is done. I just hope he and his mentally gone inner circle have the decency and grace to not try to take this country down with them. It's not just embarrassing, it's fucking borderline criminal.

His career as a politician should have been over in 2015 when he made fun of a disabled reporter. For the most part, I lost faith in our country at that point.
He comes from the "Hire the handicapped.. they're fun to watch!" crowd.

What the fuck else do you need on the resume? For Republicans to like her?

Bottom line, does she turn out rust belt/blue wall indies?

Immigration is still an important subject for voters and she will get incessantly slammed as the "failed border czar."

Again, I'm not against a change if you think Harris results in more net voters turning out than holding onto Biden...but I think she has her own set of headaches/vulnerabilities that will be easy to attack.

I dunno dude...more and more Dems come out against him everyday and he just seems entrenched now. I could see this dragging on and then chaos at the convention...

Turns out it was a lot less about caring for the country vs Joe's ego then I ever thought.

Idk, not to get too deep into identity politics, but I think you'll turn out more voters just by having a woman of color than you will lose by someone who can't tame the inferno that is our border policy.

Given Trump will be the first convicted felon to hold the office of the presidency should he win, and given every single sordid, criminal, immoral, unethical, un-Christian, anti-democratic, traitorous, treasonous and inhumane things he's said and done, the Gods of Logic and Common Sense are screaming out to the cosmos "why is he still being hailed by the Republican party faithful to be the best president to ever hold the office again." And why is it the he still has even a smidgin of a chance to rule America as his own personal property when that's exactly what he's been saying he'll do.

He and his acolytes say with conviction that he and they will Make America Great Again when his greatest accomplishment while in office was to divide America's peoples like no one else ever could, along with flim-flaming his way through his term with lies piled on top of more lies and more lies on top of that, alienate our NATO allies, persuade the party faithful to believe in Putin over our own intelligence and security agencies and among a host of other disqualifying factors, make all of it appear as though it's simply not anything that should hurt his chances to become The Orange King Kong of America.

What sort of madness has transformed the Party of Personal Responsibility, Family Values and Fiscal Conservancy into The Party of Trump where he can do no wrong while doing every single fuck'in thing wrong when handed the job and the accountability that goes with it? Well there's no accountability to be had if you ask any conservative off the street and even when he has been held accountable, his party faithful don't like it so they make shit up about Trump being railroaded, being set up, being treated unfairly, being witch hunted and wad'da ya know, *poof* there goes his numerous acts of criminal malfeasance out the window as if all of it never happened.

This is the spell that Trump has cast over his cult. As he realized aloud back then that “I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and wouldn't lose any voters, okay?”, he knew he had stumbled onto something that would carry him to victory as he also realized how he could lie with reckless abandon and have those lies turned into golden nuggets of truth so long as those lies were sweet nothings whispered into the ears of those that craved to hear them. Insanity personified in a habitual liar and con artist. Who knew one huckster of a man could fool so many millions of people.

My nightmare thought this evening is what if we are basically re-running 2016 but candidate swapped?

I still contend that all this panicking about Biden...demanding he drop out...is just going to give the race to Trump. IMO, there's not a single Democrat who could successfully enter the race at this late date and have even a slight change of winning the election.
When Trump wins, I hope youse all pat yourselves on the back...because you'll have accomplished exactly what you set out to do.

Ah, I see now, you're a Trumpie in disguise. Or maybe a Putin agent, not much difference. Either way, a troll.

In this video a neurologist is interviewed who in observation (he hasn't met Biden) figures him for Parkinsons but explains that to determine his capabilities a full 4 hour test would be required, but it would be definitive.

WATCH THIS, IT'S PRETTY FUCKIN' GOOD.

I understand that you believe this, but it's quite tedious to see you repeat it over and over again like that makes it more true. In thousands of years of human history we keep building societies based on ideas of honor and justice, this seems to me less likely if humans are "inherently evil". Have you considered therapy? I understand this isn't a shining moment in which to live, but you seem to be consumed by doom.
MAGA violently moved to kill their own Vice President on Jan 6th, 2021.
Perhaps you would pretend they are the exception. I decry that lie. I tell you that they are simply like everybody else. Feral in the absence of a strong institution to guide them.

Our liberties presumed people were better than that. That freedom would shine a light, that truth and goodness would prevail. Our founders were wrong. Now we suffer the consequences of a system of government that could not protect itself. If we understand this, then we know our opponents and what they are capable of. It is the reason many of us are willing to vote for a corpse instead of Trump. We know it is existential. If this were any other election, we wouldn't need to worry so much whether our candidate can deliver.

This is not tax policy at stake. I'll reiterate Jan 6th, and how ALL of them now endorse that action.

Havent wasted my time to watch that click bait. I trust the WH Dr that is with him basically every day over armchair Drs. And I’ll repeat, it’s dereliction of his duty if he were to not diagnose, report and treat any health issues Biden were to have. Nope let’s trust these quacks instead.

Anyone claiming to care about immigration should be reminded that Trump convinced Republicans to kill the immigration bill so that they could keep hammering Biden on immigration. End of conversation if that isn't enough, because you are talking to a fucking moron.

No, there won't be setup quite like 2016 again.
The Comey letter did her in.
We can always hope something even bigglier illegal that Trump has done comes to light in October. Sure, based on what we know about him already and that people still consider him a viable candidate it will have to be monumental. It could happen I suppose. Maybe some secret recording of him admitting he gave Putin some specific intel from those documents he stole. Or a video of him fondling some children. It just needs to be something bigger than being a felon and a rapist and a...

Someone in this forum likes to say, “We create what we fear”. I wonder if people are too busy doing that to see how it applies to them. I guess that can happen because admitting to fearing would be considered unmanly and a sign of weakness.

Hum? Oh my God, if that’s true we’re fucked. “There must be sone way out of here said the joker to the thief".………
