The OWS movement has no goal or purpose and has accomplished absolutely nothing of any value. Except, to show the world that lefties just want to sit around smoking pot and blaming everyone else for their problems. Going through life believing the world owes you something because others have what you don't is simply pathetic.

Maybe Andrew Ryan was right all along....

I see you want everyone who does not agree with you dead. You do not call yourself tolerant, do you? You also do not call yourself kind, nice, friendly, or even good, do you?

On this particular issue, a long day (or month) of the rope would benefit every living thing on the planet, including the unborn. I suppose you guys would pardon Bernie Madoff if you could. To answer your question, no I do not believe that fascist aggressors in the class war being waged against me and everyone I know deserve my kindness or friendship.

I do commend your uncommonly thoughtful appeal to my natural desire to be kind to others. Its refreshing to see such intelligence from the right wingers here.

May Day protesters tried to blow up a bridge. I know, I know, isolated incident, of course they have nothing to do with occupiers at all. They just conveniently targeted a bridge (which is what occupy said they wanted to do - shut down bridges and main arteries of commerce) on the same day.

Five people described as anarchists were arrested Monday in a Cleveland-area park for trying to blow up a bridge, sources tell Fox News.

You do realize OWS people aren't the only people that show up for May Day. WTO meetings and May Day are the anarchists favorite things to derange.

Speaking of which, is our local anarchist poster going to take a Metro ride into town today?

Uh, yeah. Fox is the only "news" outlet throwing that last line in there. Conspiring and under observation for a while. Arrests filed today. Not "attempted attack today" Einstein.

I was watching the news last night with my father when a segment came on about these May Day/Occupy protests. I don't want to get into a debate about the definition of May Day because I think it means different things to different peoples.

My father grew up in an Eastern Bloc country, living there until he was forced to escape as the Soviets had it in for him for some extreme dissident activity. After the segment was over, he was telling me how May Day was a very big deal under communist rule. He did not have time to go into detail, and I will talk some more about it, but the impression I got ironically was May Day was like a very patriotic July 4th for us. Rather than celebrating America, Liberty, .etc, they celebrated the communist machine. He said participation was one of those unwritten but mandatory things harsh regimes are known for.

Anyway, after he mentioned this I thought of this thread. I am going to see him later and want to ask him some more about what May Day really meant and was like.

There are posters on this board, mysel included, that vividly remember having to participate in this communist sharade; your dad's view is hardly unique.

The OWS movement accomplished plenty.

It showed us how out of control alot of police officers are.

It showed us the clear devision in our society.

It showed us that partisian idiots such as yourself will put people down who protest and yet you likely blame obama for everything since he's a democrat.

That's one of the biggest things I"ve seen. Alot of anti OWS people are also anti obama. So, they're really just confused. In many aspects they're anti government.. but they're anti government because there's a democrat in the white house. Alot of OWS people are anti government in general because they can see through the BS that is lobbying and see that Bush and Obama have done the same stuff.

Bridge blower uppers were indeed occupiers.

According to a written release, Douglas L. Wright, 26, Brandon L. Baxter, 20, and Anthony Hayne, 35, were arrested by the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force on April 30 on charges of conspiracy and attempted use of explosive materials to damage physical property affecting interstate commerce.

The three are self-proclaimed anarchists, according to the FBI.

Charges against two other men, Connor C. Stevens, 20, and Joshua S. Stafford, 23, are pending.

OCCUPIED — Occupy Cleveland organizer Brandon Baxter gets some shade in the Occupy Cleveland tent in downtown Cleveland on March 21, 2012. Baxter, one of the few remaining members of Occupy Cleveland’s physical presence downtown, said the group has seen a sharp decline in numbers since last October because of increasing disorganization. “We need guidance,” he said. Photo by Brandon Blackwell @CapturedCLE

Brandon Baxter of Lakewood said he had no regrets for making sure people heard the message.

"I took the risk of getting arrested because I feel the powers that be, whoever they might be –– on all levels of government and those who hold corporate power –– are not listening because not enough people are actually taking a stance" against foreclosures, he said. "I was hoping that this would be a great way to get Cleveland more involved by showing the potential that a small group of dedicated people can have in making an impact. Even though we are not in any government position or in Congress, we do have the power."

It showed us the clear division in our society between the workers and the freeloaders.

Interesting, the only way you can rationalize people who don't agree with you, is that they are somehow confused?

I didn't write this news article, and by linking to it I am clearly just raging against Obama!

Amazing... I seem to remember several months ago that the 99% protests were gone....

I wonder what happened.. could it be that they were just not out in the cold like what many people were saying, or is this a whole NEW 995 protest...?

The cold weather happened. These people's convictions are only as strong as their comfort.

They're protesting outside of my building today. It's laughable. Just a bunch of highschool kids and manbabies. Each as clueless as the next.

LOL! "isolated incident, nothing to do with OWS"

Police initially suggested the suspicious envelopes could have been mailed by militants from within the Occupy Wall Street movement, but a spokesman for Occupy Wall Street denied any connection to the mailings, saying the police were making a false assumption.
"Apparently, the message was aimed at the mail room workers among the '99 percent,'" Deputy Police Commissioner Paul Browne told ABC News.

Some of the envelopes, believed intended for May Day delivery, arrived at the banks early, according to police.

"They underestimated the efficiency of the U.S. Postal Service," one official said.

Loliberals........constsantly frustrated and angry. If only the rest of us could just accept their gospel they wouldn't have to blow shit up and promote terror in the name of "fairness".

Stay classy lefties!
