He's a lying politician like the last one, and like the last one there are those who line up to bend over for him. Pull your pants up.

News flash for you, our current President is NOTHING like the last one.

Except for telling fairy tails.

He needs to pull his pants up too.

I'll repeat it once more. He is either stupid like Bush or lies like Bush. I think he's smarter, but I don't trust him. I went in to this Presidency hoping that for a change (pun intended) we'd have an intelligent and honest President. I think we have a smart liar. I'm so comforted by that. Not.

Now that won't stop the NeoCon equivalents who don't care that he lies as long as it suits their agenda. Seize power by telling that which was never true, circle up the shills who will play games and defend him to the loss of their own credibility, then say that it doesn't matter as long as their agenda wins.

PS, don't even think to try to tag me as a Bush supporter. I knew crap then and I know it now. Pawns too.

LOL@U You must be miserable all the time because I can't think of one President (or any other politician for that matter) who didn't/doesn't lie through their teeth. Catching them red handed is another matter.

We should make lying illegal for EVERYBODY with mandatory jail time if convicted. But we don't?

I wonnder why? 😛

Because it's perfectly acceptable to you for a candidate to win millions by lying. You think it's a joke. You didn't mind when Bush lied about Iraq did you? Na, every President lies. It's no big deal, now at least.

The problem isn't that I find this unacceptable, it's that you have come to count on it as the norm.

So to cut to the chase, Bush = Obama. Ok, now we know.

LOL, now it's about ME?? You sir are a bad joke.

Give yourself a few more years and you will discover that it's best to assume the worst about people and then hope to God you're wrong.

Either way you have to give someone a chance to make their plan work before you can call them out as liars.

How can we tell an Obama apologist is lying? He's a NeoCon 😛

But since I said it first you are the one lying. LOL, put that in your pipe and smoke it. 😉

you refering to WMD's?? 😛

:cookie:

I thought that was obvious? WMD's, UHC without taxing the middle class, you name it. Hell, they both probably came from the same collection.

We don't even have government mandated health insurance yet, but I'm sure you can prove your accusation??

Or NOT.

What does that have to do with Obama's assertion that we can have UHC without increasing taxes on the middle class? Regardless of whether we have mandated health insurance right now, it's still a fairy tail, just like WMD's.

Many of us were saying this pre-election: Obamessiah cannot deliver on all of his promises. Something must give. Frankly, I give him credit for lying about taxes. That lie was probably difference between him getting elected and John McCain getting elected. If Obama had said "I'm going to give you health care reform, but I'm going to raise your taxes to do it" we wouldn't be having this conversation. We'd be bitching about McCain. Of course, Obama knew this, which is why he made a conscious decision to lie about it. This is not a fact, but is derived from reasonably plausible speculation. As has been stated numerous times, the alternative is just that he's an idiot like his predecessor.

As far as the rest goes, you were probably pooping your pants when I figured that out. 😛
What makes us different is that while I expect the best but prepare for the worst so to speak it does not mean that it's right and that those who hold office shouldn't be lambasted when they go astray.

Personally I would have felt better if Obama didn't make his promises before hand. That would have been a far more honest approach, but honesty wasn't something we were going to get.

Get back to me when you know for sure. To me the idea that there is more then enough waste in our current system to give everybody insurance seems rational to me? Especially considering how much could be saved from catching things before they do become exceedingly expensive to correct. I don't believe most people even comnsider that possibility of savings, let alone the improved quality of life this would bring about.

Obama pandered to people like nobodyknows. Promised them Gitmo, the Patriot Act, health care reform, tax CUTS, etc. They gobbled it right up like good little sheeple. He knew better and banked on their naivete. Let's see if it generated enough momentum to get a second term, because someone just slammed on the brakes.

Ah, I see the confusion. Allow me to quote from the posts:

Spacejamz said: how many threads have we had here about issues that the liberals here were complaining about when GW was president, but now that Obama has decided to continue those exact same policies, the liberals are now okay with it?

nobodyknows said: Got link?

I provided the link. The point, of course, is that Obama is continuing many of the policies of Bush and in the particular thread discussing that particular continuation, the silence from the left was deafening. I provided a second case as well, but you may not have seen that yet.

The left were the ones complaining when that was Bush's policy but were conspicously quiet when Obama supported that policy.

don't shit yourself, raising taxes is always on the table with ANT politician. It's what gives them their power.

You're missing the point... AGAIN. This isn't about the right solution to a specific problem... it's about Obama handing out campaign promises like candy in order to get elected.

You are able to tell the difference... aren't you?

Obama should do the same. Let folks rot without jogs, let the country go down the tubes. No additional taxes, please.
Are YOU actually willing to pay more taxes Moonbeam to keep your grand utopian experiment alive? Or are you just willing to see people like me pay more in taxes?

Funny how ultra-rich liberals with $20+ million banked or poor liberals who pay no or next to nothing in tax are happy to see others pay more when it doesn't impact them at all.

I think of myself as a real American. I will pay more taxes to save my country. And naturally I already pay a lot of taxes now.

Even though this is probably just the standard moonie sarcastic troll, I'll bite.

This country's foundation in part was paying less taxes. It should be, if you want to pay more taxes, then GTFO.

Its not a matter of not seeing it coming. Its a matter of he said no increased taxes for middle income people. In fact the quote, as we all know, was "I pledge that under my plan, no one making less than $250,000 a year will see any type of tax increase," "Not income tax, not capital gains taxes, not any kind of tax."

If the GOP pulled this shit where would these apologists be coming from?
