I see, so you don't care that he may have lied about how he will pail for UHC.

That's right, I don't care. I know it will have to be paid for somehow, and if it's higher taxes, I am OK with it.

WOW. Visible proof that blindly following a candidate/party is par for the course for senseamp.

Don't care about candidate or party as long as UHC gets implemented. If GOP runs on UHC platform in 2010, they got my vote.

Wow, you are really a moron. Do you not know what the topic of this thread is?!?!? You asked for links showing that Obama was continuing some of Bush's more controversial policies. I provided those links and yet again, you fail to grasp the concept of what the discussion is about. If you want to discuss that particular decision and what Obama should do with those guys, OPEN ANOTHER THREAD.

P.S. It is "you're."

Uhh... McFly, have you been with us this whole time? You do realize this thread is about Obama talking about charging the middle class for health care reform, right? Could you please write him a letter detailing your Superior Uber Plan so he doesn't have to raise my taxes?

Much obliged.

Go waste someone eles's time. You blather about everything but make no sense on anything.

Awww... I'm sorry that you find reality so confusing. Let me dumb it down for you:

1. You think that reforming health care is just a matter of reclaiming wasted funds in our current system.

2. I tell you you have severely oversimplified the situation, and that the reason we're having this discussion is because Obama knows it's not that simple, has known all along, and now needs to hold a bake sale.

3. You are required to purchase 26 units of baked goods.

I don't think he is worth our keystrokes. Just like the other thread where he was thoroughly destroyed with information provided by me, he will continue his diversion tactics until we get fed up and just stop.

that's funny...how many threads have we had here about issues that the liberals here were complaining about when GW was president, but now that Obama has decided to continue those exact same policies, the liberals are now okay with it?

Change we can believe in...

Got link?

Here is one of the most recent examples:

Oh oh

Nobodyknows, has your amensia wore off yet or is your head still stuck in the sand to not see how Obama is keeping GW's 'tradition's alive and well???

You know, the ones that the libbys were jumpin up and down demanding impeachment for, but now are suddenly okay with them??

So how many terrorists are you willing to sponser in your home?

Perhaps Obama should have thought of that before promising to close Gitmo, which was blanghorst's point - a point obviously lost on you - all along. blanghorst stated that Obama already has a track record for this crap. You wanted examples and proof. He gave that to you. Now you want to change the subject.

You are probably right... but a little part of me wants to convert just one idiot into a thinking individual. The most hysterical point in all of this is that you were entertaining a tangent that HE created. YOU obliged HIM, yet he seems to have forgotten how he got here

OK, fair enough. I don't agree with you, but you are entitled to your opinion and at least in this case, you are being consistent.

It is so much easier to just change the subject.

First we had Ayers and Wrights and he said it wasn't a big deal then his "good friend" Gates comes out of the wood work.

Two months ago it was all Cap & Trade. Why haven't we heard anything about that accomplishment?

Before that there was GITMO. Thought that was going to close in 6 months. Its still open. It is not as if Obama is going to do anything about the people there, just spend millions of dollars to move them around the country. What does that accomplish?

What about Iraq? Thought he was going to pull out the troops. Looks like he is using the same plan/time line that was left in place by Bush.

Don't bring facts into the argument, please. Nobodyknows seems to be allergic to them and without UHC, he might not get treated!!!! (his contention)

Just keep the circle jerk of declaring yourselves "victorious" going if it make you fell better. Oh, and keep that checkbook ready so you can pay more in taxes..... someday. Soon I hope.

I'll tell you what, I'm going to throw you a bone and help you out of this mess. We can't change the fact that you've already made a fool out of yourself, but we can at least help you understand why. Let's get started.

1. blanghorst stated that Obama ran on a campaign of discontinuing many of Bush's "failed policies". He then criticized Obama for double-backing on this once elected.

2. You wanted examples and proof.

3. Numerous examples were brought up, the most notable of which was Gitmo. blanghorst provided you with a link supporting his argument.

4. You diverted the discussion to the topic of Gitmo specifically, basically defending Obama's decision, even though the decision itself wasn't under scrutiny and that this was totally unrelated to the point at hand.

You committed a logical fallacy; one commonly referred to as a 'red herring.' You were no longer arguing the point at hand, but rather diverted to an unrelated point that was easier for you to assert. The issue at hand was not whether Gitmo should have been closed, but rather that Obama cited it as a failed Bush policy, but then later chose to continue supporting that policy.

I don't know if you lost focus because you have ADD, because you realized you were proven wrong, or because you're just simple. Regardless, you lost focus. Hopefully this helps you to regain it.

You implied Obama did not continue some of Bush's more controversial policies. We provided proof that in fact, he has continued some of those policies. Instead of saying "Oh, I didn't realize that," you try to divert the discussion to non-related topics.

As I said, if you would like to discuss those particular topics, create another thread. Otherwise, you asked for links and were given the links. That is the extent of my obligation to you.

Exactly -- nowhere have I said that Obama's decision was right or wrong. Nobodyknows asked for proof that Obama continued Bush's policies, implying that he didn't believe spacejamz. I provided the links to show that in fact, on at least 2 instances, Obama supported controversial Bush policies.

Nobodyknows asked for the links to prove it and I provided the links as he asked. There is no more argument or debate -- I have proven the point and unless he proves the Wall Street Journal or MSNBC made the stories up, there is nothing more to discuss.

One payer healthcare, taxes, warrantless wiretapping, closing gitmo, pulling troops out quickly, it seems either the circumstances have changed an awful damn lot, or Obama was either lying or ignorant.

Don't you people want more than endless mediocrity? Why do you continue to defend it? Is this really the best the US can do and if so do you want to say you were ok with it?

I know about Gitmo. Now how many of these suspected terrorists are you willing to move into your home, city, area, state?

If you can't answer that question or give a reasonble plan of what to do with these people that Obama INHERITED from Bush then it's nothing but political hackery to use this as "proof" of anything.

It's a problem, they are working on it. Some of them should probably NEVER be released, but I'm sure Obama will release them just to make you happy, so how many shall I sign you up for? :)
