in *that case* [with user mods] .... even the OP will come to love Oblivion ... also

I check for Oblivion content now and again. Seems to be mostly weapons, armor, and various other item additions to the game.
I haven't seen any total conversions for Oblivion yet.
Schadenfroh, those mods really do take years to complete. During those years, members of the team often lose interest and move on to other projects. Unfortunately, this means the final project is never completed.![]()
the OOO mod is total conversion ... obscuro's ... it is basically the *same story* BUT you get the randomness of the earlier TESS games and way different GUI and leveling system.
AND six months ago when i stopped playing it there were already Expansions with way more content then ANY of the plugins.
Check out Tower of the Lich King and at least 3 other mods by the same author ... new NPCs, a Big Boss and some GREAT cells ... i think there were 4 mods by the same author ... you really need to be at least Level 50 to play thru them completely ... or cheat
... there is also Kumiko's Manor which is HUGE [many people didn't realize that one Quest leads to another and another and another and there was even a Quest for *Vampires Only*]
if you have the rig, D/L the texture mods ...
.... and companion mods with the *cool chicks* that do anything for you
:Q

If they'd let Avellone do all the writing they'd be better off - he wrote most of the story and characters for PS:T. For NWN2, he was relegated to writing a few of the party members - Khelgar and Sand were two of his. He had no involvement in the story, which does indeed seem like it was written by a room full of 10-year olds. And someone should've figured out that it's "I couldn't care less".
And yes, the NWN2 engine is not only dated, it's one of the worst hogs I've encountered for what it's trying to do.
it *felt* like Story by Committee
i could see Khelgar and Sand had loving attention to *detail* and they felt *real* and in STARK CONTRAST to the other Party Members ... so cliche. Even their *voices* were more professional than the other voice actor
... i think someone also tried to do something with Groebner & Neeshka but never really developed either of their storys ... they turned out to be annoying.
--it went from *Sat AM Cartoons* to attempting *Adult themes* ... which resulted in a big Jumble.
--and *influence* was just not a big deal in this game ... it only changed their final *choice* as to how you treated them ... or even used them at all
--did anyone dislike the leveling? you could just hit 'recommend' over-and-over and you'd be fine ... you needed a balanced party and could attempt things in ONE way only
--did i mention lack of *freedom*? gasp ... what is RPG if there is no illusion of freedom?
not true to the 'Spirit of RPG' --whatsoever.
How long do we have to wait for really good content ... about a year?
