Thanks for the webulex info, anyone else? Really I am mostly interested in my mail account being hosted.
And remember: lawsuits can, typically do, take months or years to process, even when you have a winning case, not to mention an expense of hundreds of thousands of dollars, commonly

From the "temp" cwstatus.com site...

Anyone seen these before?? I haven't. I can't find a link to one either. Not on Seagate.com, not www.storage.ibm.com, not pricewatch... where are these drives? Who makes them?
Also:
> ...new Dual Pentium 4 1.6ghz...
Guess he really means Xeons. But the 1.6 was the Zeon MP if I remember right (1MB cache not 512K) and is quite expensive. Quick search of pricewatch shows 3 vendors total. Prices from $3830 to $6007 for a single add-on processor. Hmm...
Usually in any story there are 3 sides - person 1, person 2 and the truth.
I just can't believe people keep defending them after they keep hearing conflicting stories... They have the servers the LS "employee" is lying, they don't have the servers, they really do have the servers. Be up Monday, next Saturday, Sunday, Monday, 3rd Tuesday after Mardi Gras... I just understand why people still believe him with NO verifiable action taken for days! Name one verifiable POSITIVE action they have taken recently? Besides the attempt to sell even more unusable at the moment accounts? (tongue in cheek)
Also remember a couple of months ago? CW was so far behind in setting up accounts that they stopped the sales? They just couldn't get to the fast enough! A couple of days setup turned into weeks, into months, and some here even demanded refunds?? Remeber that??? Now he has to set ALL those accounts that were so hard to setup before that it took forever, AND they're pushing new sales to boot? Does this strike anyone else as just a little bit odd??
Oh, while I am no lawyer in any way shape or form, I have been in business for a number of years. I believe IF (note the previous word) the LS employee who said they had the servers wasn't lying (and apparently he wasn't about the server's being in their control, despite previous posts by some) about CW being in arrears for some big $$$. I believe that may fall under the legal heading of a mechanic's lien. For example, if you take your care into a shop and then don't pay, you won't get your car. The mechanic supplied a service, and you have to pay for it. IF (there's that word again) this is the case, LS would be in thier rights to hold the equipment until it is paid. In fact, my quess it's in the contract LS and CW signed as well. That's just a guess no one knows for sure as- not even Wolgang - as no one here is privy to ALL the facts in the matter.
That's right, unlike most of our competition, who sell hosting accounts on a per domain basis, we provide our clients with the opportunity of hosting as many domains under the same account. While virtual hosting plans will limit you to 100 free unique IPs

Heh, you'll all like this thread on webhostingtalk.com, which has links to some of "CEO" Shawn's previous successful scams, er, business ventures...

We did not list it on the website, true. But we've had a few people write
to us and we will offer free hosting if you write.
Possibly a good analogy IMHO, relying on my guesswork, for the problems between LS and CW: think of LS as a cellular service, and CW a (rightly or wrongly) angry customer. CW thinks LS's service has stunk for weeks, and therefore wants out of its contract NOW; LS says it's CW's problem that so many calls have been dropped--after all, other customers are happy enough. And if CW cancels, it needs to pay the fee, as per the contract. So, CW, your phone is off now--you said repeatedly you wanted to cancel, right? So, you're welcome, see the enclosed bill, and have a great week!
So to sum up for those who want to get back to the CB and the TV, the best evidence available now indicates this timeline (this is plausible but still speculative AFTER the first point):
recent recurring debilitating CW pipeline problems (with disagreement over fault)
led to suspended payments,
led to suspended service (little and then no pipeline, no access to servers) & demands for payment,
led to CW moving as soon as it reacquired physical or logical access to the servers
which move should be complete by Monday, according to CW itself.
