Has anything been said by FDA/CDC about mixing brands or stay with the one you have already had?

Not that i need one but me & everyone i know got Pfizer back in Feb./March thru our local hospital. Somewhere i read lately that the pharmacies around here are offering only J&J and Moderna.
Now that i think of it some of my co-workers got Moderna because they went thru a pharmacy.

Anyway, i hope there are still options for small towns if they say you should stick with the same brand. I should find out if the hospital is still offering Pfizer & plans to going forward.

.Husband and I got our flu shots today. Just in case they decide we need a covid booster so we don't have to double up. One vaccine at a time.

So, the doctors are just telling certain at risk patients to go and get a 3rd shot and just not cop to the fact that they already had two?

Yeah this was just spoke about on the Radio. Doctors may be doing this, they may be implying, people may be reading about it.
To date one million have had a third shot.
Fauci tip toed around it and left it at someone who doesn't have a normal functioning immune system due to medications or cancer or stuff I forgot should expect guidance on a booster. Everyone else should sit tight for the time being.

The absurdity continues: Philadelphia - Starting Sept. 1, all city employees will be required to be fully vaccinated if they work inside or be double-masked.

Michael Osterholm is the Director for Infectious Disease, Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota & former COVID advisor to Biden and just this week has noted that non N95 masks provide little to no prevention.

PEOPLE THOUGHT IT WAS TRANSPLANTED BY RESPIRATORY DROPLETS AND FALLING WITHIN SIX FEET OF US.

TODAY THAT IS NOT THE SCIENCE THAT WE KNOW.

WE KNOW THESE ARE TRANSMITTED WITH AEROSOLS.

IF YOU ARE IN A ROOM WITH SOMEONE AND THEY ARE SMOKING AND YOU SMELL IT, YOU ARE GETTING BASICALLY INHALED AEROSOLS IN.

I disagree with this and think they should leave this at the discretion of the business owners to decide.

Please don't misunderstand what I'm saying. I like the concept, am vaccinated myself, but still don't like the burden this puts on private business that's already hurting. One could argue that bars/restaurants are where it spreads....but so is church, school, grocery stores, brothels, walmarts..... My point is that distancing and masking can be encouraged/enforced. I think the vaccine requirements are pushing it unless you're dealing with flights or other places where people are in confined spaces and a negative covid test is going to be possibly more valid than a vaccination record.

I WOULD like the see the Federal Government create a vaccination registry website that could be used for verification for businesses or entities that wished to use them (to eliminate the administration burden), but leave the final decision up to the business to enforce it.
It either needs to be a go/no-go scan, or only enforced at major events and transportation, etc. Places that would normally have security screenings.

Vaccination passports are likely to block blacks from entrance than everyone else because cultural baggage has fostered a sense of mistrust amongst the populace. There are also logistical issues they may suffer from. The rednecks and Floridians you see in the news are irrelevant for a place like San Francisco.
We need to figure out how to improve the outreach to the black community. But if they refuse, they shouldn't get a pass. The Native Americans had all kinds of fucked up medical things happen to them and I'm pretty sure they have the highest uptake rate.

I'm double Moderna. I went on my every other week shopping trip yesterday... Drove to Costco, then to Trader Joe's, then home. After a while I started looking at people. Everyone in Costco was masked. Most people on the street. I presume everybody at Trader Joe's. I was the ONLY person who was wearing a mask with wrap around the head elastic bands! I wore a 3M 9210 N95 I bought the the 2017 wildfires. I still scoot away when someone gets too close to me.

I agree. Black people would be better off if they had realistic, sensible, informed opinions rather than vague feelings of mistrust. Particularly with respect to science. That goes for everyone.

"Cultural baggage" is as bad as religion.

Hi black person here. Actually, most of us older folks pushed past a lot of the past history and went and got vaccinated. Now we are trying to convince men and younger folks to get vaccinated. OUR churches are active in the campaign, with some of the larger ones holding vaccine clinics.

Well, he says that cloth masks give you an extra five minutes of protection, which could be enough to cover a trip into the grocery store if you're only picking up a small amount of items. The smoking bit is kind of a non-sequitur, because they're not exhaling smoke through a mask...

Yeah, I've been reading about a lot of the black churches doing their part.

I'm not black, so my perspective is probably not right, but it seems like white con-artists have just found a good angle to push their antivax bullshit.

If I had explosive diarrhea, and placed my bare ass ~2 feet from your face, would you get just as much shit on your face/mouth had I been wearing boxer briefs or shorts while I violently evacuated my bowels?

Connecticut's positivity-rate has dropped slightly to 2.86% from as high as 3.58%(?) a week ago. *(per Covid-update email from Governor)

Better then it steadily going up!
