Even in offices, unless they are using mostly outside air or running through HEPA filters, it's just getting spread around by the HVAC system.

We might have HEPA filters, I probably just lost it in the mix of messages over the past year. Our facilities guy is pretty awesome so I actually suspect we do.

I think there needs to be more data about long covid and it’s prevalence (even with the vaccine, which is happening) before we jump to the conclusion that long covid is just as common as post viral complications from the flu. I’m on a slack channel with 15,000 other long haulers, and the vast majority of them are young people who did not have a prior autoimmune disease or health issue, and most have had the flu or other viral conditions that did not trigger chronic fatigue syndrome. Covid appears to be an endothelial disease that wrecks havoc on the nervous system in a way that a simple respiratory disease does not. We need more data before we can safely compare a vaccinated response to covid to the flu. Especially with delta, which has much higher viral load. For background, I’m 25 and have been sick and unable to work for 11 months now, and I was previously healthy and athletic. Long covid has turned my life upside down after a mild infection.

I'm not entirely sure they can, lol. It's not a very big place, out on the tip. 60k people was probably just a zoo. And it p town had 60k in a 2-3 day time frame, the rest of the cape was probably packed as well.
Okay, lol! Wife and I used to vacation at the cape/vineyard/Nantucket the first 10 years we were married. It's close by and nice being on/near the ocean. We've been going north of late.

That's cool, it's a fun Vaca spot. We go for a week each summer. I've not visited MV or Nantucket, but went to p town quite a bit. I spend most of my time around Dennis tho.

I dunno man, some ladies probably don't want their boobs to get bigger, huge already.🤣

This is fact. My wife has been complaining for years about getting a reduction due to back pain. As for getting bigger after vaccination, I haven't noticed any changes since we got vaxxed in March!

Texas is gaining population while NY and CA are losing. There you go.

One thing I dislike about Houston the most, even more than its humidity/heat during summer and the horrible traffic, is the almost anything goes in zoning (house), or lack of it.

I bet I could buy land in metro Detroit for cheaper then I could in the Houston area. It's also about as likely that I would do so... personally I wouldn't want to live in either place for any reason.

Having travelled extensively IMO the majority of folks in most places are nice but certain area's in the US (almost exclusively in the South) are just so collectively stupid it precludes even visiting at this point.

I consider myself among the fortunate long COVIDers. At least I am I have regained mental clarity. I thought I regained physical "jump" in full around May-June, but I don't know whether its allergies, flu, muscles, or other infection(wisdom teeth abcess), but I've been dragging physically the past couple weeks.

One can "end" the pandemic and remove the threat to the government/business system, but the virus is remains capable of totally devastating someone's productivity and thus their ability to put food on the table and get other essential things done. Someone might be in the 1% of infections, but one really doesn't want to join that 1%.

And yet yankees love to move down here in droves and did not want to stay in their "paradise" and pay their "fair share" to keep those paradises going. Perfect example of "do as we say and not as we do", eh? Speaking of stupid, shall I post a few examples of "intellectual superior" of them yankees? Another example of "those that live in the glass house shall not cast the first stone".

Since this is not P+N so I suggest you and others to go to P+N and look up on the threads about Asian elders being beat up numerous times recently (barely any whisper from liberal posters). Must be them stupid rednecks from the South, right? Oh wait, those attacks were from NY and CA. Intellectual superior and love and peace and understanding and more bullcrap indeed.

Frankly I wouldn't want to LIVE in NYC or most of California myself if it makes you feel any better.

And to be fair I've always wanted to see the Astro-Dome so I suppose I can think of ONE "How-Ston" area POI without Google!

Whoo 50% vaccinated nationwide!

View attachment 48339

While that's good, it depends on the percentage of those most vulnerable (mostly aged 65+).

For example, here in Portugal as of August 1st:

Screenshot from 2021-08-04 16-58-17.png

On the left is 1 dose only and on the right is fully vaccinated. Bottom part states doses Portugal has received (left) and doses Portugal has administered (right).

We had to slow down our rate of vaccinations due to lack of vaccines: there's a need to keep in stock enough vaccines for those waiting for their 2nd dose, or we would use all of the vaccines as they became available.

We have a great percentage of those aged 65+ fully vaccinated, but aged 50 to 64 isn't quite there just yet. Obviously, and because they started to get vaccinated @ a later date, those aged under 50 still have a long way to go.

Portugal is going to interrupt scheduled vaccination for 30+ this weekend and push for vaccinating ALL of aged 16 to 17 in preparation for school, and resume vaccinating 30+ after that.

Sir George Floyd and his band of knights certainly learned the Houston way of committing crimes. Gang up on a poor woman.

Couldn't have anything to do with there being FAR more Asian elders to beat up in both those places could it?

:p

And sorry but yes there are FAR MORE stupid rednecks, racists and straight-up "Ignint-McNuggets" in the former confederate states.

Hey, keep this shit in P&N, thanks.

Bashing southern states as unlivable/not worthy to visit and their people as stupid rednecks are perfectly fine and applicable perfectly to the purpose of this thread right? <eyes rolling x 100000000000000). Nothing about shit in P+N, right? Tell me how that is applicable to the discussion about covid virus. Another fine example of "intellectual superior" I reckon.

Uh huh.

While these accusations may not apply to you personally they unquestionably DO apply (apparently?) to the majority of voters down there.

After 2020 if you allow the crap we've witnessed to go on around you, you should expect to hear about it. Fvcked up thinking/actions HAVE CONSEQUENSES!

Anyway I'm done with this topic.

After being schooled that building shit in Houston is anything but an almost anything goes Wild West, he is still going. Persistence is admirable, when you know what you are doing it saying. But hey, it is kind of amusing.

Yes, you schooled me. Like I posted a direct link from the City of Houston to support me and I asked you multiple times who was wrong. You or the City yet you were too cowardice to give a straight answer. Folks, scroll up a few pages and see for yourself who schooled who and who was the big mouth liar (Wild West = your own words, not mine).
