That is a bit of a stretch. If someone gets Covid-19 then by the numbers they will probably be alright. Of course it can be different for anyone but by the numbers the majority of people who get it are fine. I've been reading about pretty high amounts of people who've had it or are asymptomatic but at this point not sure what to believe.

This guy GOES OUT, like beaches and stuff like that constantly. He is one of those adventure seeking types.

Lol and just like that Coronavirus has been vanquished.

My newscast had a total of 0 updates or stories on it.

"guys - cut everything on COVID-19. We have important violence of racial tensions to report on for an hour straight."

After three months, I think that people are tired of seeing COVID-19 death statistics and Dr. Fauci telling us to wear a mask and wash our hands.

The news stations know that astronauts and race riots are good for ratings, though, so that's what they are going to show on TV right now. Think of it as a 1960's throwback special!

If i could have a small group of friends hanging around having some fun during this dark time while also excited about their mask usage and social distance,i would hope to have someone like this in that group! Thought it would be fun to share some stuff, this chick does tons of videos like this. This one my favorite though. This one pre-dates the virus i think but still i love her energy! The world is in chaos and well this just fits the theme i feel.

Eli Lilly starts Phase 1 for their monoclonal antibody treatment. They're first to get here but Regeneron, Vir, and Amgen are close behind. Ideally we could have a range of antibody therapies available by the fall which would be extremely useful.

Oh i only hope. :) I have already assumed worst case we stuck indoors till 2021, i am perfectly fine with this. Better in then out there i say! Maximizing my fun while here, mostly with indica has turned it into almost a full on 24/7 party. Gotta just go with it, i still got my focus in public but at home the shoes are off and my feet are up. What else is there to do besides wait for this thing to come out? Go outside and die a bit more?

Effective treatments would let us assume more risk but some social modifications are likely to remain until everybody is dosed with vaccine.

On that front if you want to feel a little better here is an interview with Fauci where he indicates major confidence that one or more vaccine approach will work. While a little annoyed at Moderna for releasing partial results from Phase 1 states they're seeing neutralizing antibody levels they expect to be protective.

those masks are not going to protect you, will make you look like a fool ontop of it! just buy a few n95 or the Korean k94 or what ever they are called. they are back in stock places now. dump some water in a cloth mask see what happens, dump some water in a cheap surgical mask, its strange but the water doesn't penetrate the cheap surgical mask. everyone was so sure that people are not having parties during this, but now what do we see thousands of people burning cars and attacking the police together! how splendid, i wonder if these same people will be begging for help when / if they get infected.

I mix my mask with extreme social distancing, i had 2 kn95 and i felt bad for even having those. I had issues breathing in that thing, it had 3 dang filters lol. I would love to have n95 mask but would hate to contribute to the shortage on the front lines. I go out super rarely so yeah i bunker down lots. I may look into modifying something perhaps in the future out of these coming in, i am sure i could improve them. Good price for what seemed better then the one i have now as well. Friend still using the kn95 i gave her, so i gifted the other one of the 2 i just bought.

Surgical masks are for sale online now. Their ads are everywhere, even in this site. A box of 50 disposable surgical masks is about $30 USD. And I thought 50 for $15 at CVS before the outbreak was expensive. Time for a sewing machine and learn how to sew some cloth masks.

but obviously you cant sew a surgical mask, i just went on about how a surgical will hold water and a cloth one will not. the surgical masks are heat blown i believe.

I should say sew some cloth masks and I edit my previous post to make it clearer.

Anyone notice the air feels so much cleaner now? I never even realized the air in my city was bad because it's a small city and it's still better than places like Toronto, but I think with less planes in the air it's affecting everywhere quite a lot. I step outside and it pretty much smells like being in the forest, it's incredible.

oh im 100% clear that you ment cloth masks but that cloth masks are pretty pointless (i mean better then nothing for helping protect others) but wont help protect your self as much... just buy some real masks a small price to pay.

I recommend pretending the virus is alive and well everywhere and continuing social avoidance as much as possible because some states AND hospitals are purposefully distancing themselves from covid claims. The hospitals lost too much normal business over a few covid cases...they want it to go away because the covid cases aren't earning them as much as OR visits or procedures for their regular patient load. States need the economy open for tax revenue...
Don't worry about hospital earnings, stimulus bucks to the rescue.

UPMC rakes in $228 million in coronavirus stimulus cash, dwarfing competitors

A few of those grants were for hospitals in Allegheny County, which has seen more than 1,800 COVID-19 cases, as well as hospitals in moderately affected parts of central Pennsylvania. Other multimillion-dollar grants went to hospitals in places like Blair, Erie, and Mercer Counties, which have largely been spared from the virus that has sickened more than 70,000 Pennsylvanians.

In contrast, Penn Medicine received almost $130 million split over eight grants to hospitals in hard-hit areas in and around Philadelphia, which has reported 17,900 cases — nearly 10 times that of Allegheny County.

Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health received the second-highest amount — $135 million for hospitals in Philadelphia and in New Jersey, which has seen 153,000 COVID-19 cases.

UPMC has said it was relatively unaffected by the virus, noting in mid-May “that only 2% percent of the system’s 5,500 beds were occupied by COVID-19 patients and the number of new COVID-19 patients was declining,” according to PennLive.

Not just any cloth but thick cloth (can't see any light passing through when you hold the cloth outside during bright sunny day - cotton with natural silk or chiffon) then do it double panel of clothes and have a pocket so you can put a filter made from coffee filter or thick high quality paper towel. I think that kind of cloth mask would be equivalent to surgical mask. Of course, real 3M N95 would be the gold standard.

Something like this -

You do know that is totally useless right? If it does not seal around your face the air is not going through that "filter". Extensive industrial hygiene training, and having worked under supplied air in environments where a single breath is deadly, makes me laugh at this discussion. The mask use for covid is to keep droplets away from others. All this talk of the pockets for filters is useless.

We wear our rz masks when out, we owned them and had a stock of filters already. I wear it mowing or doing dusty work and it helps with my allergies. No filter in them would be fine for covid use. Yes, when donned properly these do work as described and rated as n99

Read my post again. This is what I said.... "equivalent to surgical mask" and "real 3M N95 would be the gold standard". In short that double cloth mask with picket for filter would be as effective as the surgical mask imo, NOT as the 3M N95. I don't want you to think that I mean that "filter" in the pocket is equal as the valve filter in the 3M N95 mask or other professional filters.

No dispute from me about the tight seal on your post, very critical to have a good fit mask and proper usage (social distance, cleanliness, take on and off the mask, etc.).
