An enormous problem with this is that in Italy, they've practically stopped testing, as it's beyond practical value to bother with in their current state of emergency. Similarly the case count in Iran is stratospherically higher than officially reported due to the infrastructure not really existing in a condition to accurately measure it, or an interest by their government in recording information on the case and death counts. There is an online data site where Iranian human rights activists, health care workers, civilians, and some anonymous civil personnel have been uploading videos of round the clock rapid burials, often in large open pits where many are dumped haphazardly into the thing to be covered rapidly, amidst a sea of similarly covered fresh mounds of the waves of dead. Videos of people collapsing on the streets, in front of hospitals which are closed to new arrivals due to being overwhelmed, and health care workers themselves being stuck with Cytokine storm shock syndrome, which strikes down even the young and healthy workers in stunning alacrity. Hours from outwardly healthy, to total organ failure and death, even for teenagers and nurses in their 20s.

I also think cases in America are very high. Maybe in the tens of thousands, and growing daily.

Just curious...Has anyone heard any info as to whether or not you can have simultaneous multiple respiratory viral infections? (i.e. seasonal flu and covid-19) Would one strain out compete the other? Would the effects be cumulative?

Hence the "exponential growth" thing... the situation is grim no doubt BUT the media is milking Covid-19 for all its worth to the point where its extremely difficult to know who to believe. Have to wait and see.

I wanted to run a tube to the snorkel from the purifier. Would that work instead of a n95 mask?

UV-C generates ozone so you’d be sucking lots of ozone. Low ozone bulbs are available so you’ll have to check with the manufacturer as to which type of bulb they use. Even low ozone bulbs put out a fair amount of ozone.

There are already two significantly different strains of SARS-CoV-2 so recombination/reassortment with endemic coronaviruses is likely. That's what happens when two similar viruses infect the same cell and exchange chunks of DNA... almost like viruses having sex and producing a hybrid offspring. Of course, it also possible it was just a mutation.

Trump legitimately wants to fix this - he just wants to do so for different reasons than most people.

Suffice it to say Wallstreet doesn't seem to think he's doing a good job at it, futures are down this morning another 1500 for the dow. But overall, yeah, CNN is bottom of the barrel shit news.

He was reacting to current misinformation. China is suppressing the truth and spreading lies saying that it came from America.

('the' problem is a virus, plus the enormous difficulty human beings, with their fundamentally-flawed nature, have in co-ordinating rational collective responses to events).

Yes you can, as they're separate viruses. Secondary infections are very dangerous.
