We're up to 42 cases in my region now.

Still doing half decent though compared to other places in general. I feel if they blocked all traffic into the region and stopped people from also leaving it would probably be safe to start reopening stuff here. I think this may be the best approach where you let certain regions go back to normal, but restrict travel in and out of those regions other than supply chain deliveries, with many precautions. At least then the world can partially start going back to normal. You would of course need to wait 14 days since the last case before doing it though.

Even if the benefit is small to moderate (presuming cloth and surgical masks) it is still really worth it for such an extremely trivial inconvenience.

I like it... now I can not wear a mask as a sign of civil disobedience! Someone needs to remind Dictator Cuomo that he's not God.

It's really hard to demand reform if you've already left the table.

It is highly unlikely that this opening will do anything but strengthen China's influence with the WHO.
LOL at the Trump voters falling for Donny scapegoating others for the spread of Covid-19 in the U.S.
Not you, obviously.

To be honest, I would say the same for social security. It's just economically retarded to support someone with money that is contributing it to another.
Social Security isn't quite the same, since they paid money into it while they were working, presumably...

If people do this they should be arrested and put in a mandatory two week quarantine at a hotel...which they will pay for.

That's very appealing.
I only had to use one weird trick that the banks dont want you to know and they hate him to learn that by accepting the $1200 you consent to have the government install ultra high frequency 5G microchips into your teeth.

They'd send me another $1200 to, please, for the love of God, shut up.

I think the mask requirement is if your using public transport like subway, train or bus. In that situation I agree, since no one knows who could be spreading this virus in such close quarters a mask should be required.

That 42 number is completely meaningless, you realize that right?, since so few have been tested there is no legit handle on how we are actually doing.

Yeah - certainly... I agree... Morally they should pay regardless, but from a "whats best for the country" perspective, I would have to simply say fuck em'.

That's where the 14 day comes in. You only start allowing stuff to reopen after 14 days IF the number has not changed. Ex: nobody caught it. Though also they do need test way more. That is a big problem too. They seem to be very reluctant to test for some reason.

Looks like Google and Dictionary.com disagree with you about that.

It's also the percentage of the population that is Vitamin D deficient and at increased risk of respiratory illness.

Vitamin D also reduces the inflammatory response and could go a long way toward explaining why black people seem disproportionately affected by COVID-19.

Nice. I wish our governor (TX) would do the same. I know we don't have the same problems as NY but it'd be nice to never have it in the first place
I really like the idea [with respect to requiring wearing face masks]. It would be/is a constant reminder that this isn't "normal" life going on, we've got a special shared mission to lower the curve. There's more to it, we should remake the health care system. Bob Dylan once said we can all use a shake up.

That's 42 CONFIRMED cases. That's what they should be saying every time in the media. I saw it said by an expert in some context that the actual number of cases was likely 100x that.

Interesting and thanks, looks like I'll be adding a vit D supplement to go along with C, multivitamin, and zinc.

lol Oh California. Do you ever learn your lessons?

Apparently not because your rich folks keep coming to our states and infesting the votes you are leaving into ours. Those who don't learn are damned to repeat it, etc...

EMS just delivered eight of the genuine KF94 masks from South Korea. :). I will give 2 of the masks to my BIL so he can wear it in hospitals he visits. Doctors and nurses shouldn't give him any crap since these are from South Korea and won't take away from US hospital N95 supply.

funny mine came in the mail too today, i didnt open the box yet but how should i test them out, i was planning on pouring water into the mask, cutting it up and starting it on fire. ;) i still have TONS of n95 so not really matter i just bought them to give away to others. have a shitload of small n95 too but way to small for me to wear seem like they are for children. I can do a hood fit test on the mask as well to see if i can taste the sweetner spray like i did fo rmy n95 to make sur ei have the seal / fit right. silly ear loops dont seem like they will hold as good as n95 and dont see why not just give him n95 and put a surgical mask or bandanna / other mask over it to help lengthen the use anyway.

I'm taking a D3 supplement, also 1000mg vitamin C, a multivitamin, but no supplemental zinc. However, I bought zinc in case I start coming down with something and at the first sign will go for it, either in lozenge or drops form... I have them at the ready. From what I've been seeing, I think I will do this in the future to fight off any respiratory disease threat, i.e. even if I'm immune to covid-19 at that point.

I love the way my 3M 9210 N95's fit. They seem perfect, also no valve. Pretty darn comfortable and I'm not having foggy glasses issue either. Gonna replace the rubber straps with elastic when I get it. Looks like the USPS has lost my elastic strapping shipment, was supposed to get it by 5 days ago, damned Postal Service fucks up again!

Animosity any? Can you bother to edit your own posts before sending your rants for readability. I can't make out your thought, can you???

He's talking about all the people who leave California for greener pastures in other states and then vote in similar policies. It's an often-discussed phenomenon in conservative circles.

Here - I'll try to spell this out for you....

MORE PEOPLE are LEAVING YO' STATE-O THAN JOINING YOUR STATE-O. COMPRENDE?

I have zero sympathy for paying excessive taxation that your state loves to employ.
