People researching infected bats got sick in a lab and did not know they were sick and spreading the virus. This is how the first doctors knew about it and started sounding the alarms contrary to the CCP's move to sweep it under the rug as nothing.

Those doctors "died" and the dead researchers identities were scrubbed from websites. They were on "vacation".

Put 2+2 together. You will figure this out.

Yeah, you're going to need some rock solid evidence for something like this, which is going to be tough to find. If any of this is true, I'm sure that China made sure that anyone involved with this project has been "disappeared" a long time ago.
Again: There has been a lot more. You can see much of it for yourself in the lab's own job listings leading up to the outbreak... if you can read Chinese and care enough to look.

Ok, here is the in depth research lab virus origination video. This video was posted on 4/1/20:

He shows how the government moved to censor websites and delete information.

That's another part of it. Certain Wuhan Institue of Virology's researchers seemingly disappeared with a particularly conspicuous bio getting erased. The Chinese public was all over that one and forced a statement from authorities affirming she is alive and well with absolutely no appearance/proof.

The researcher who first sequenced the genome has apparently been squelched too.

Yeah, I said there was a lot more... I didn't say that what the public knows amounts to proof yet... just "more."

Dang:

* US may have to endure social distancing until 2022 if no vaccine is quickly found, scientists predict

i am going nuts not being able to see my nieces and nephews for a month

i think i would be depressed out of my mind if i couldn't see them for 3 years

Why can't you see them now? Are they in different state?

everyone in the family wants to stay apart so nobody gets sick

if i did pick COVID up at the store and get one of them sick, and something happened to one of them...

there's no doubt i'd be gone shortly thereafter

Here - I'll try to spell this out for you....

MORE PEOPLE are LEAVING YO' STATE-O THAN JOINING YOUR STATE-O. COMPRENDE?

I have zero sympathy for paying excessive taxation that your state loves to employ.

honestly it's worth it

i would probably be making 500-800$k if i was in CA right now

i still kick myself for not moving to silicon valley 15 years ago, i have wasted so much of my life that i could've spent working at SV companies

I think you're being too paranoid. I haven't stopped interacting with family and friends. In fact, I probably see my sister and nephews now more than ever.

He's not being too paranoid. Now if you and your relatives are all practicing good hygiene, the risk is fairly low and you're probably fine.

But interacting with family and friends basically defeats the purpose of social distancing.

So what do you guys think? Worth it to re-open schools before end of the year? I wouldn't send them in for the 1.5 months even if it started tomorrow. They do zero actual work in the month of June anyway. Really it may only be beneficial for 11th graders as it's a vital year...

If this is true, can you imagine the blowback on this one? Just the economic sanctions placed on China for this would send them back to the dark ages.

I would love to see this but sadly it won't happen. Considering all the crap China does and did and just their overall corruption, sanctions should have been done a long time ago.

Me personally I try my best to not support China but it's pretty hard when practically everything is made there... If I have a choice I buy Made in Canada or Made in USA first but it's rare to even see that choice.

At this point I think the school year is done for. I could see high schools MAYBE open back up just for exam week, and graduation, if things are looking better by then. Right now schools are just sending work to be done at home and parents are home schooling, but it's not exactly the same education. Going to be interesting to see what happens with my oldest nephew since he was graduating this year.... which seems so crazy to me, I remember holding him as a baby and now he's going through stages of life that seem were not that far away for me.

i been taking 50k IU of vitamin D every week for a month now

Woah be careful, you actually can OD on that stuff and it can cause health issues. When you get it through sun you technically can't OD (you'll get sunburnt first) but the supplements you can OD. As a red head I can produce it fairly easily with just a bit of sun but darker skinned people do need more sun to produce it. I still take supplements though since we don't really get lot of sun here.

I take around 2-3k IU. They don't really recommend going higher than that. Though I often forget to take my vitamins so I don't take it every day. If I realize it's been a while then I might take more.

LOL at the Trump voters falling for Donny scapegoating others for the spread of Covid-19 in the U.S.

LOL at the Xi Xinping supporters falling for China scapegoating others for the spread of Covid-19 worldwide?

Why do people keep bringing up Trump anyway? He loves the attention. Stop feeding the troll.

lol Oh California. Do you ever learn your lessons?

Well no, they don't, but now that they have such a large immigrant population, they have to do what it takes to prevent them from being a huge biological time bomb. Mexico/Guatemala/Honduras definitely don't want to see mass deportations during a pandemic. They'll resist as best they can. Would you deliberately deport hundreds of thousands of potentially-infected immigrants to their home countries where they don't have as many cases as places like Cali?

And even if deportation is off the table (which in Cali, it is), that population is still a major potential liability for the rest of California if they aren't given protection from and treatment for Covid-19. They can't simply ignore immigrant populations. Otherwise there will be a permanent source of Covid-19 in Cali that will never go away. In addition to the ones we'll have already.

Those people are the ones doing jobs like harvesting crops no one else really wants, next time you have a salad or eat some fruit maybe you should stop and think about it.

Damn you could write columns for the WSJ with that attitude. Americans can and will do all that work, provided:

1). You pay them
2). You give them decent working conditions
3). You give them enough stability that it's worth it to keep doing that job

Interestingly enough, a lot of that food isn't being harvested by ANYONE right now due to flagging demand in the corporate and government section. Lots of food is going to waste thanks to Covid-19. It's rotting in the fields or being thrown into the trash.

"Decent working conditions"?, your out in a field harvesting lettuce, broccoli, ect. It's hot, back-breaking work and once a harvest is over so is the work, no chance for "stability". "Americans" have NEVER done this work.

"Americans" have NEVER done this work.

Many Americans trace their roots to sharecroppers and slaves. Others owned and worked on their own farms. As recently as 150 years ago, the United States was majority agricultural. Give me a break!

"Decent working conditions" means access to water and port-o-potties so you don't dehydrate and you don't have people taking a dump in irrigation ditches. E.coli on your romaine? Ever wonder why?

Ah for crying out loud, go read Grapes of Wrath.
