He told you he would ship on X but didn't ship till Z?
How was it late?

Yes, but thats not the point. The point is his horrible response to my heatware eval. I try to keep my evals as honest as possible and that is what I was thinking at this time. He responded with hostility, and Frankly, I wanna change my POSITIVE eval to a neutral eval because of his poor response to my honest heat. Who should I contact to change my eval? Thanks.

Did you see a pic of it before you bought it?

Those look like normal wear & tear scratches, not something that came from neglect.

Did you discuss the scratches with him, and look for a resolution before you left the eval? From his response, he indicated that he'd rather give you a refund than have a negative comment, even in a positive eval.

I was trying to determine if he missed an agreed on ship date or if he shipped 2 days after you paid him.
If the eval is truthful and factual, don't change it.

This was his comment about the scratches....

hi there

THe unit is in good shape; just stared at it for 30 seconds and can't see any scratches

He can get a refund, BUT I was wondering if I should change my eval from positive to neutral? I did not like his attitude towards my heat, and frankly I would NOT be willing to trade with him again based on his comments.

if you did not get a picture before hand... hard to say.

however, his explanation of a scratch... that's complete and utter BS IMO. Yes, that is from normal wear and tear, but say so. It's hard to say w/o seeing his original word for word description.

Look one post up. That was his only comment about scratches. It was an afterthough. I didn't care really about the scratches, but I made a point to include it in my eval because he said he couldn't see any for 30 secs and I saw them the first second I opened it after I took it out of the case.

You can't/shouldn't change Heat because you get pissed at someone after the fact. That's not what Heat is for.
EDIT
I PM'd Heat23 the link to this thread for you.

wow almost 4k posts in 5 months.

Just from his comment about you being a 12 year old I'd say don't change it. You gave him a positive or neutral I'm assuming, people won't pay too much attention to it.

Guess he should've known that Apple buyers tend to be aesthetic whores. Those scratches are nothing, but I don't necessarily disagree with your feedback.

No, you should not change your eval based on that. Add to your DNT list & move on.

I would consider that scratch free too.

To see those scratches you ahve to hold it up to a light, and angle it back and forth.

If it had scratches you'd be able to see them in plain view.

And whether there are anny scratches or not, he only said the HE didn't SEE any. Not that there weren't any any. If he didn't hold it up to a light like that, he probably wouldnt have seen the scratches.

The problem is that you don't need to hold it up to the light like that to see it. There all over the player, so just looking at it from 80% of the angles, and you will see scratches. Again my post is not about the scratches. I don't really care that much. Your posts have basically given me a direction of what to do thanks.

I still feel the seller is a bit misleading if you can see the scratches at a majority of the angles. I generally look at anything that has aesthetic value very critically so no one is surprised.

however, probably should be left as is and just don't deal w/ that person again. I severely disagree w/ his definition of "a scratch"

Ok he became a bitch and left me a neutral?

The neutral he left you is based almost entirely on the feedback you left him, so I don't see why he doesn't deserve at best a neutral in return for the same reason. If they allow you to change your rating, I would.

He's making the feedback part of the transaction.

What a lamer. I'd avoid him at all costs - You paid on time, that's all his review needs to be based on, not the fact that you gave him a positive (or was it neutral) feedback after you received it slightly late, and slightly scratched... It's people like this I try to avoid.
