I said ok to the refund, but I would not withdraw the heat because that was My experience with this trader. If a troll trolls you but then refunds you, would you not keep the negative? I'm not calling this guy a troll, but I beleive my evaluation told what happened during this transaction, and just because he refunded me the money does not mean that what happened did not happen,
-I resent being called a liar and so have left this long decription...

I did not want perfectly brand new. I was happy with the unit I received. The evaulation I posted was just a truthful account of what happened. He said he did not see any scratches when looking closely for 30 secs. I see scratches all over the body looking at it for the first 10 seconds. I was FINE WITH THIS, but just wanted everyone to know about this minor quirk, because it happened to me. Something like this is minor to me, but it might be MAJOR to someone else looking to trade with this person. If I seriously had a problem with the scratches, I would have asked for a refund and returned the Unit.

So basically..he described the transaction with you so others would know about it. You described the transaction with him so others would know about it.

Oh and the light was not direct??? I'm a photographer. The light WAS direct....from the flash of your camera....or something. You can't tell me that isn't direct lighting on the face of that ipod shuffle....at least not without lying.

Lol the light was not from the flash of my camera. It was from a celing lightbulb. By direct lighting I Think he meant like a small lamp put directly over the shuffle in order to see the marks. That was not the case.

No...you would not get blown highlights like that unless the light source was very close to the subject as was your camera when you took the shot (camera was held very close and does not do macro focusing very well). To get a small circle of blown highlights like that it would have to be a flash or a close light source...not a celing light. Not saying there wasn't light from the celing light...but the flash is light too and was almost certainly the source of the direct lighting in this photograph.

Nope, I am holding the Shuffle right now and I can see that yellow circle. It is def the celing light, and not the flash.

*sigh* you may see the reflection there...but unless this is a REALLY REALLY horrible camera then it wouldn't be that bright in the picture without additional light.


BTW - I just found your LOCKED thread berating the guy. You said he promised to ship on Saturday and here is what his PM says:

"paypal received; I will send tracking tomorrow as I think I can ship then."

KEYWORD: THINK

This is NOT a promise so it even worsesns your case against him.

His name has made NO appearance in this thread, and I posted it to ask people I if should request a neutral feedback, or change the part where it say "I would def trade with him again" to nothing, because of the pm he sent me. I was purley asking people what I should do.

I've read all three of your replies and all i can say to you is there is something wrong with you perception and your expectations. I do indeed see micro scratches on there; not ones i could see with my naked eye but apparently ones you can see by holding a bright light up to it. In addition, I shipped two business days after i could. I suspect you are used to dealing with businesses. I see you and i don't have grounds to have further discussion.

Basically saying that unless I hold a bright light up to it, I would not see the scratches, which is not the case, as I can see it outside when the sun is setting. Again, he admits that those ARE scratches.

But the problem with that is that it's an interpretation of what was said and you are interpreting it and then calling it a promise when I would bet money that he clearly did not mean that as a promise. Sure...I interpreted as well and interpreted it to mean something different...so again it's not what he said but what I think he meant. We both could be wrong...but as it was put down it WAS NOT a promise to ship Saturday.

If it was a promise, it would be much more clear than what he put down as to what he promised.

I've been here longer than you and I've done a lot of selling around here on FSFT so I know how things go down and what to reasonably expect from other people.

He didn't get paypal until late Friday. Maybe he tried to go by the PO on saturday and ship it but they were closed when he went by after work or something...you don't know, you didn't ask.

The best sellers on here ship within a day...but even they can't always do that. I have a deal I'm in that I was hoping to be able to ship today but I was on-site doing work for an important client from before the PO opened until after it closed. I don't think that will cause a ruckuss for my buyer.

You have a lot to learn here.

You lack respect and have unreasonable expectations. If anyone was flaming, it was you in your locked thread (one reason it was locked) about that guy that didn't deserve to be called out publicly in the forums. You need to follow proper procedure when you trade on here. I'm just trying to help and pointing out your mistakes so that you don't make them again. That's all I've been doing. We all make mistakes, so at least learn by them and recognize them as mistakes. Your problem is that you think you are Mr. Perfect trader in this situation, which you clearly are not.

I am not sure why It was locked, as I posted it because the Trader gave me a neutral eval based on heat I gave him. It was not useless at all. Maybe the mods saw it as a double post? Or maybe posting warnings on people with retalitory evals shouldn't be done? Nothing agains't it in the forum rules though.

And why didn't the guy deserve to be called out publically when he gave me a retalitory heat eval? If people deal with him and he doesn't like their heat eval, he might do it again. Kinda like a troll post. I had NO IDEA why he Pmed me with that highly negative PM, as I know that I 100% did not deserve it. I created THIS thread to ask people if I should change my original heat because I stated previously that I would trade with this person again, but that statement is false now. I did not identify this person in this thread, as he chose to ID himself by posting the Neutral eval.

As I said, I was happy with the trade, and only wanted to post an honest evaluation. Some people may have quirks about these types of things, and I think that my eval may have helped them. If he changed it to Positive with a comment about me posting every bad minor quirk that happens in the deal, then I would be fine with that. But to post a Neutral on the trade based on a Heat eval is NOT warrented.

The major points here are:

Mislead me by saying no scratches by staring at it for 30 secs, but the scratches are obvious in any kind of lightning. In a cloudly day, you might not notice any scratching, but on any bright day/ partially cloudy day, the scratches are evident.

Shipped two days late, although as I look at the post now, It could have meant that COULD stood for "had time for" instead of "was physically possible".

Gave me a horrible PM in response to my Positive Eval. Yes it is positive, as I had no major quirks with the process, and though the deal went smoothly up until he pmed me.

Finally, left me neutral heat because I gave him a lukewarm heat at worst.

You have a lot to learn here.

You lack respect and have unreasonable expectations. If anyone was flaming, it was you in your locked thread (one reason it was locked) about that guy that didn't deserve to be called out publicly in the forums. You need to follow proper procedure when you trade on here. I'm just trying to help and pointing out your mistakes so that you don't make them again. That's all I've been doing. We all make mistakes, so at least learn by them and recognize them as mistakes. Your problem is that you think you are Mr. Perfect trader in this situation, which you clearly are not.

I am not sure why It was locked, as I posted it because the Trader gave me a neutral eval based on heat I gave him. It was not useless at all. Maybe the mods saw it as a double post? Or maybe posting warnings on people with retalitory evals shouldn't be done? Nothing agains't it in the forum rules though.

And why didn't the guy deserve to be called out publically when he gave me a retalitory heat eval? If people deal with him and he doesn't like their heat eval, he might do it again. Kinda like a troll post. I had NO IDEA why he Pmed me with that highly negative PM, as I know that I 100% did not deserve it. I created THIS thread to ask people if I should change my original heat because I stated previously that I would trade with this person again, but that statement is false now. I did not identify this person in this thread, as he chose to ID himself by posting the Neutral eval.

As I said, I was happy with the trade, and only wanted to post an honest evaluation. Some people may have quirks about these types of things, and I think that my eval may have helped them. If he changed it to Positive with a comment about me posting every bad minor quirk that happens in the deal, then I would be fine with that. But to post a Neutral on the trade based on a Heat eval is NOT warrented.

The major points here are:

Mislead me by saying no scratches by staring at it for 30 secs, but the scratches are obvious in any kind of lightning. In a cloudly day, you might not notice any scratching, but on any bright day/ partially cloudy day, the scratches are evident.

Shipped two days late, although as I look at the post now, It could have meant that COULD stood for "had time for" instead of "was physically possible".

Gave me a horrible PM in response to my Positive Eval. Yes it is positive, as I had no major quirks with the process, and though the deal went smoothly up until he pmed me.

Finally, left me neutral heat because I gave him a lukewarm heat at worst.

You lack basic comprehension skills.

They locked the thread because it was inappropriate and uncalled for.

His "highly negative" PM was really not that harsh at all.

I still think the neutral was because of your LACK OF COMMUNICATION with him over this deal. You just started posting threads about him on here telling people to avoid him, posting crap in his heatware, etc. without even communicating to him about the problem first. That is your fatal mistake. If you at least talked about the issues with him and THEN still decided to post heat as you did...fine. He probably wouldn't be so upset with you.

I would trade with him...he seems very reasonable in that if a problem arose he seemed to have no problems with giving a refund or helping to resolve the problems.

I would not, however, trade with you after reading all of this.

im not going to get into this whole situation, but maybe im a bit anal but at a certain angle or no angle at all i dont like scratches on my phones, mp3 players, etc etc. From what i see, there are scratches all over that player but thats just from my view, i know everyone sees it different. Also thats why i bought a Zen micro b/c every ipod device i see looks sratched to hell.

BTW, are the comments in feedback is part of the "rating"? Or does it uses to describe the transaction?
Looking at this thread, seems like it is part of the "rating", which I am sure it is not the intention. So the lesson here is, NEVER leave an "eval" first.

True, as I noted in an earlier post listing the problems with the transaction - they BOTH are responsible for their part. However...I still haven't seen a good picture of that item that shows the scratches so I can't really comment on that part.

If I ask him about the scratches, what would that accomplish? How would that solve the problem? I was FINE with the scratches, but they were there so I posted it in his Heat Eval. He in return responded with a pm attacking me for leaving my heat, even though it was the truth. I explained it to him through Pms, but he decided to leave Neutral heat because he didn't like my heat. WTF is with that? . In response to him attacking me, I post a thread asking if I should change my heat to reflect the situation. THe overwhelming response was no, so I thought that was that. I did not mention his name or anything in this thread. His Neutral heat however, was retalitory as uncalled for. I paid and that was that. Leaving heat bad heat because I left him a Lukewarm heat is irresponsible.

His heat evaluation was also misleading in ALL ways.

No no no....a promise would be:

"I will ship it tomorrow, I promise!"

To any sane person the line "I will send tracking tomorrow as I think I can ship it then" means that he thinks he will have the time to get to the PO and ship it and will do so if possible. Again...LIFE/WORK/Etc. Happens. He did not make a promise to ship it on Saturday. He basically said he'd try to ship in on Saturday.

You sir are taking this waaay too far and need to seriously reevaluate how you do business on here or anywhere else.

This is why I asked him in my first post about the shipping. I just had a feeling that the OP was blowing things out of proportion.
