That stuff, to me, it's like reading rocket science.

I just need to make sure before I go off and spend $300 I am getting a card worth it.

"Worth" is in the eye of the beholder.
To one person, a $300 video card may be a huge step backwards, yet to another it would be a huge waste of $$$.

The concept of "worth" are very subjective.

You have to do your homework to discover where your own balance resides.

 It all depends on your game. For CoH 2, Batman, and Hitman, the GTX 770 is definitely not "worth it". For BF3 and Crysis 3, it probably is.

Apparently cussing it out and punching my desk won't fix it -___- my mom helped me replug everything back in several times, we even tried differently plugging stuff in and still nothing...:/

I am too the point now where I would just like to give up because I am at a complete loss. Would plugging my ram in wrong make my board not work?

I have a ASRock LGA Extreme4 board and a 550w Rosewill capstone PSU and I plugged everything in and I have no cords left to plug in. I have no power to my board. This is my 2nd build so I am still a total noob at this.

What could I have possibly messed up?:hmm:

Duplicate thread merged in here. OP, this is your final warning to keep it to one thread per build.

No. Nothing is happening. I spent 4 hours on this and nothing is happening, I went thru and triple checked everything. Still not nothing going on.

I seriously double triple quadruple checked everything and I swear everything is right, trying to compare it to my AMD build too...

I pushed that button. I have zip nada zero power going to anything.

It's just a big pile of parts with cords everywhere and nothing happening. Least with my 1st build it powered on...

I have seriously sat here for the past hour unplugging and replugging everything.

No lights or power, not even one of the damn thing happens. I am getting so pissed off with it. My 1st build was way easier...

Should I restart and put all the stand offs in? I didn't do this with my 1st build...

WE HAVE POWER! but I don't think my cpu fan is kicking on, I've had it on for about 10 minutes and it's not spinning.

It should probably be spinning...

You won't get leet until your computer has pushed you to the point of murder a few times. Literally hours of blood, sweat, and tears ():)
