New Intel Build

I have a $700 (maybe $750) budget and I want to build a Intel i5 PC.

All Parts have to and must be from Newegg.

I am buying as soon as someone post an idea of what I need to buy.

I want a 2gb or better graphics card. I am thinking of switching my 3gb 7950 into the Intel build and 2gb something into my AMD build.

Would be awesome if the $700 (MUST NOT EXCEED $750) included OS (win 8). A SSD would be a awesome bonus. I need a 1tb or bigger hard drive.

CAN'T GO OVER $700. Don't care about brands at this point, good on a budget is my goal.

It is a gaming PC. I don't really play any "heavy" games. I play Crysis 3 and Bioshock Infinite sometimes but mostly GTA IV, Payday 2, Sims, and Big Fish games.

I have been waiting to do a Intel build for a year so I figure why not. I have a pretty good AMD build but I love building computers and want another one.

Well I already use a 6 core AMD and I'm a very heavy pc user, I spend 6-9 hours a day gaming while running multiple internet tabs in the background, not downgrading to a dual core. I want a i5 quadcore.

My max budget is $800. I do have to pay my credit card back in October so I don't wanna push my budget to max.

I don't wanna go for a low end dual-core i3 to stay in a $700-800 budget because I already have a six core amd, feels like a massive downgrade to me.

So for $650(little less after promo codes and stuff) I can get

Western Digital WD Green 2TB Intellipower HDD
EVGA 500w PSU
Mushkin Silverline 8gb
Gigabyte GA-h81 LGA 1150 mobo
i5 4430 Haswell CPU LGA 1150
Win 8.1
Asus dvd burner(same thing as my AMD build)
I will take my 3gb 7950 out of my AMD and use that and put a 2gb 7750 into my AMD build.

Will that work? I am just trying to make sure I buy something decent before I do it...

I appreciate the help.

I am looking at this for budget build, puts me about $50 over budget. Is everything compatible and good? I am ready to buy parts today.

Just building a 2nd gaming computer because I can. I was working with $600 and that build is $650.

Just need to know if it will function for gaming.

Looks fine apart from the HDD. Why Green? You don't really want to boot off of that, it's slow. Get a WD Blue 1TB WD10EZEX or if you must have 2TB of capacity, get Seagate ST2000DM001

Which will be a better investment in the long run 4430 or 4570?

Is that a reliable motherboard? I am willing to spend extra if I can get a mobo that will last longer...

I went with

Asus dvd burner

Seagate 2tb HDD

EVGA 500 watt

Muskin Silverline 8gb

Gigabyte GA-H81

i5 4750 Haswell

OS Win 8

7750 2gb for my AMD build so I can put the 7950 3gb into my intel build

Cougar Solution AF2 case

and once I added my keyboard and mouse put me right at $800 which was my total budget. 🙂

That looks pretty reasonable to me except for the HDD. A WD Green drive is not meant for running an OS or loading games, they're purely for bulk media storage. You can get a WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM drive for $60.
