But for those of you that understand my situation, Thank you. As i said, i work in a very heavily federal regulated industry. Our false promises can lead to very big and heavy fines. Im just wondering if the Aviation industry has any sort of things. If they dont, then oh wellz, i guess it ends at the BBB and comsumist.com report.

And i have never lost my luggages on AA, or United. At most i've lost my free bag of peanuts because i was sleeping during the flight. 😛

They are heavily regulated, but that doesn't address bags that are misrouted for under 24 hours. Unfortunately for you this works against you, as in their minds they fulfilled their contract with you by getting you to your destination.

CPA is right, your best bet is dealing with the airline themselves rather than the FAA or BBB. When calling try not to get bent out of shape. You feel you were wronged, but remember it wasn't the person on the other end of the line who wronged you. State your case simply without getting dramatic and ask for whatever you feel you are entitled to, or ask what sort of compensation they can offer. Elevate your call as needed, but try and remain calm and stick to only the necessary facts.

Good luck.

Anyone know what other roads i can goto?

Welcome to new Amerika where Corporation come first all others go to hell.

I fly US a lot and the pilots are currently fighting back against the corporation by claiming that they are "waiting for weight balance calculations" and such as part of their slowdown.

It looks like organized labor has just become another corporation, all others go to hell.

Certainly sucks to be a lowly consumer.

"We contacted coporate, and my mom got into a heated arguement with CR. I then took the phone because they told my mom to learn how to speak english. She has a slight korean accent, but if she can conduct multi million dollar life insurance contracts with amercians, I think her english is quite good."

Oh, the ironing.

I REALLY don't envy anyone who has to fly for work. Give me a pay cut instead.

Such a fricken waste of life's hours.

I had a REALLY BAD experience flying Delta this month from Atlanta to San Jose.

The plane was OLD. The seats were cramped, even by "old school" standards. My 5'5" wife even felt knee cramped. I'm 6'4".

The short seat was cut off at my neck area. So I couldn't rest my head. In essence, my neck was PAINFULLY fvcked up from intermittent dozing in unsupportive positions. I couldn't even sleep forward as the lady in front had her head tweaked back as well!

I had an aisle seat. My long leg didn't even fit into the seat area (especially with the forward seat reclined), so I extended my right leg in the aisle. TWICE the stewardress hit my knee with the cart HARD (while I was dozing) as she moved towards the front of the cabin. No apologies!! One time she physically flung my leg out of the way, shocking me out of my sleep.

This was one of the 3 worst flights out of a multitude of flight experiences I've had in my life! UNFVCKINGBELIEVABLE!!

From now on, I'll upgrade my tix on Delta to business if the fare is super cheap vs. the competition (which it was this time--$500).....or not fly with them at all.

All in all, I fly as much as I can with American and United b/c of the leg room and more flexible/usable FF program. What a day and night experience when comparing coach to Delta!

i'll try that.. And my mom's team consists of 5 agents. She is the senior agent, and we are all agents under her team. We work for one of the largest financial firms in the world. So no, this aint no mom and pop business we work at.

primerica huh?

Mother effing SHENS. There is NO fooking way, that someone with your writing and grammar skills has a secretary or a need to go on a business trip.

That would be great. It would also explain a lot.

Bags get delayed all the time.
Empty "promises" are made my airline personel all the time.
I flew about 50 segments (26,000+ miles) last year for work, and I would say my bags were delayed about half the time. I'm sure the number was lower than that, but that is what it felt like.
If you fly, you are going to get bags delayed. Deal with it.

economy on all American airlines is a joke, if you have ever flown international (economy , not business), on singapore, cathay you will know what i am talking about

Speak for yourself. It's irony.

Sadly there isn't much we can do and they know it. Even more sad, if Delta offered the same flight as another airline for 50 bucks cheaper, we'd all take it anyway.

I don't know about you but the only person who does not speak english in my house does the ironing.

and I bet you flew first class -_-

of course not, hes so special they gave him the co-pilot's seat.

if you fly enough, you should already realize that lost luggage comes with the territory. And also, I don't really think fruits and what not would really classify as "extremely sensitive"

singapore isn't that great. that step thing on the lower portion of the seat ahead of you just gets in the way if you're not some undernourished 5'4" person.

Uh, I think its luggage.

Delta has always been good to me, and my dad, who flies for business quite a bit.

We always get free tickets on our trips, and they always treat us respectfully. We always get to use the lounges, and he gets bumped up to first class sometimes.

What were these sensitive items?

hrrmmm...

well then... new theory...

Delta hates koreans ... discuss

The FAA doesn't give a shit about your lost luggage (this is the plural form btw). Keep calling them but be polite and calm but be sure to stress the importance of your luggage, in the future do NOT check anything that you absolutely need.

IMO, The #1 rule of flying is don't ever put anything in checked baggage you would have a problem with never seeing again in this lifetime.

never have truer words been spoken.
