There is a two-player survival mode kind of thing. Girlfriend and I enjoyed the one map that was offered during the beta. Basically, survive a wave of storm troopers and capture objectives.

Is that PS4 or PC?

PC, sorry should have said that.

EDIT: Also, I believe that mode was up to 4-6 players. But of course it was just us two so I can't verify.

I'd try to google more info for you but behind a proxy at work, most gaming sites are blocked :(

I've played the survival mode in BETA with my 6yr old and he loved it. While it was fun, I still can't justify spending $80 or more on two copies of the game. I think i'll wait until it's $20 each.

That's the same rational the GF and I decided on. Will scoop it up when it's less than $50 for two copies.

Yes, and I will buy them bmws when they get their licenses....LOL ")

lol that's the spirit. Honestly, I have two GTX 670's which are the same as the 760's and I'd just give them to you for free, but I got to this thread a little late this morning. You still got a good deal though.

I'll take one for free :) I'll pay for shipping. My son is rocking a HD 7790 1GB and could use the upgrade.

It's two player only coop and there are no "full featured bots that can replace players" as far as I know. The whole experience is based around this two player squad system in multiplayer as well. I also played the beta but didn't buy the full game (probably never will).

Thanks for the link railven...it looks like my kids will have fun with that and we can keep the "online immaturity factor" out of it.

Normally, I only buy games when they are greatly discounted -- I can usually wait until they are $10 or less. BUT, this is a christmas thing and a star wars thing, so I have to make exceptions. We are going to the movie tomorrow at the local IMAX so they are really really excited for anything star wars, and I do have to admit that the game graphically does LOOK amazing! Also, just wanted to mention that the game is $39.99 right now at origin/ea so that helps a bit. Still have to but 3 copies though :(

Wow, moonbogg that would've been great. Timing is everything and I would've really been thrilled with them. Hopefully this deal for the 760s with Teizo will be good for both of us. He seems like a great guy....as are most of the people here!

With the way console gaming is going, gonna have to need two consoles, two online subscriptions, and two copies of the game to play 2-players anyways.

Yes, that is why we didn't go with the PS4 route. I can't believe you can't play split screen multiplayer....kind of a joke.

Pretty much this, and the fact the games are pricey. We own a Wii U, but since we've played out all of the Mario games, it never gets much attention anymore.

I recently acquired an Alienware Alpha console, which is perfect for multiplayer living room gaming in Steam big picture mode. I have nearly 400 Steam games in my library, might as well make use of some of them. I will say my son still prefers to sit at a desk with a proper mouse and keyboard though, and my daughter love some Minecraft with mods :)

Moonbogg to the rescue! :)

Any time. Anywhere. I'll be there.

Actually, I was feeling charitable for like 5 seconds, but I've come to my senses now. Sorry Face2Face, but the OP has already been rescued. You'll have to make your own "PLEASE HELP ME" thread and sell your dilemma there. If you touch our hearts the way the OP has, maybe you will be saved by a mysterious forum hero as well.

No joke. Playing 4 player GoldenEye on an SD 24" TV was a hell of a lot more fun than a lot of current shooters. On a 1080p 50"+ display there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to get four people on at once.

I seem to recall that with Starcraft you could install the game on another computer and they could play multiplayer with you, without actually needing the disc. Was that SC, or am I thinking of something else?

Upgrade the CPU on the G3258 system because the game will be unplayble on the dual core CPU even if you upgrade the GPU.

Yeah, I was under the impression it was quad-core only ( or i3 ).

I seem to remember a review / benchmark where someone "injected a file to force dual-core to work."

You might wanna double-dog verify that the released game will run on a true dual-core.

Damn it. I was hoping you would make a ridiculous thread where you make a really emotional plea for a free GPU for your kid for Christmas. You could have included a pic of an empty refrigerator and said you have no money and it would have been great. I would have swooped in with a badass GIF of some dude saving someone and I would have then...well if you want to know what comes next, you know what to do.

If you're talking about StarCraft 1, basically from that era you could do that with pretty much any PC game, haha.

Today's PC games all have some form of online DRM tied to them for multiplayer, and most AAA titles are slowly removing out custom games (Game servers) as a means to combat local hosting.

Laughed pretty hard at this :)

I'm sure shredz would be thrilled with a 670 SLI upgrade for himself!

Teizo sent out the cards within a few hours of us talking!! They should be here Monday - plenty of time for the christmas surprise. Thanks again Teizo!

You're welcome. Hopefully they make it by Saturday. They said Monday at the latest. I sent them with all the original material/boxes/accessories...like new...and they were packaged well, so hopefully they arrive fine and in good shape. MSI has good soft foam packing material in their retail boxes.

GTX 275 to GTX 670 is epic, lol. Those cards may open doors to new games that they can play now. Good stuff.
