I was thinking of this Planar it has the exact same specs as the VP930b. I wonder if it has the same panel? how would I go about finding that out? Planar has a 3 year advance replacement warranty on it that has my interest.

Well, is the VP930b the best option for gaming? I'm looking for a nice, affordable gaming LCD. That means that response is most important.

Hmm, any ideas on the Samsung 913T? I checked it out online and cannot see anything bad about it, specs are pretty close to the VP930B.

The vp930b is far from the best 19" for gaming. Its 8ms time is only white-black-white but grey to grey suffers a horrible 20ms response time. Altogether i would say it performs slightly worse than a 16ms tn-panel, but its colors are extremely accurate. If you a heavy gamer i would recommend a quality 8ms or less TN. I would still recommend the 940b to you. Oh and civil dont blow your money on the vx922 over the vx924, 4ms ghosting is undetectible to any eye.

If you're going to buy it online from Compusa, why not get it at Newegg online for cheaper?

They don't exist. I don't know the technical reasons, but it's much more difficult to make a smaller monitor with a higher resolution.
