Kings Island (now that the kids are back in school)
Newport Aquarium (already mentioned)
BB Riverboat dinner cruise (stay away from the river)
Any restaurant in Newport overlooking the river
Hot Air balloon ride
If you really want to race go-carts there are some closer at the R32 E exit off I275 (not condusive to conversation however)
Dinner in Mt. Adams
Reds Game (never too crowded to talk)

My girlfriend dragged me into a coffee shop once, it was pathetic. A bunch of ultra-liberal pansies trying to sport the "world traveler" look, talking about subjects that they're clueless about.

It struck me as just being a cheap fascade.

I'm trying to think of somewhere that won't get boring but won't occupy too much of our time. Dinner would be ok but it's so standard and no fun.

I know you guys have some good ideas, I've seen a few of them. I just keep drawing blanks on this.

I live in Cincinnati. I'm 21, she's 23.

Thanks in advance.

:) good for you.

I am going through some stuff right now :brokenheart:, but I can always suggest a good thing to do.

Since it is your 4th date, go dancing/dance lessons or to a picnic in the middle in a park of the day (scope out the place before you plan it though). Great way for her to experience you to excite her by doing something daring and new. :) HOPE that helps.

It can be fun to go to a coffee shop. But yeah, you have to realize that many of the people there are fake.

I always think it is funny when I go to a coffee shop/wine bar in shorts and tennis shoes and a t-shirt. I get looks, but what do I care. I enjoy the environment and I didn't care to dress up. Some of my friends are a little more insecure about that stuff though. ;) Meh....

All right, she's 23 but doesn't look it in the pics. I realize that but I'm not going to post a bigger pic for the same reason a lot of people here don't post pics of their g/f's. She is not 'hot', she is extremely cute. I don't look at women the way most guys do, I'd rather have an incredibly smart, sweet, and beautiful g/f that I get along well with than one that's hot. So far I haven't found one that's both. There's probably a reason for that.

As for the guy who said to get her another b/f if I'm not looking to get laid, I respectfully request that you don't post things like that. Neither of us believes in sex before marriage, therefore it is not a factor. I respect your beliefs whatever they may be, please respect mine.

Anyway, we're going out to dinner tonight with both my and her parents, I thought it would help us get to know each other better to know the families.

RKS, you have a lot of good ideas. I intend to take her on a riverboat ride eventually, but she isn't big on spending money and doesn't like it when I pay for her stuff on dates, so I'm not sure that would work out so well right now. We want to go to the aquarium but we've had to go out so late the last 3 times that it's closed by the time we get there (she works three 3rd-shift nights a week so it's hard to plan a date during the day).

Go Kart racing FTW. BTW, those 2 pics aren't even showing the same person. It's like a pic of mom and then a pic of the daughter. :Q

Pic 1 is just her, pic2 is her and her mom.

EDIT: pic2 only has a part of her mom in it, the 2 pics are of the same person.

This is my effort to get to know her better. She said she wants to know me better and so I wracked my brains trying to figure out how one gets to know one better, and one of the best ways is to meet their family and friends. You all have some great ideas and I plan to use them in the future.

4 dates and you are getting the parents together?? Holy commitment Batman, don't you think you are setting the expectation level a little high?
