The Boxter sucks compared to the 350Z or G35 in both straight line and autox. I've seen several professional races involving the G35, Boxter, 350Z, S2000, WRX STI and in every race the boxter comes in dead last by dozens of car lengths. It's no secret that the boxter is the worst sports car out there for that kind of money.

who gives a FLYING FVCK... who is the fvcking moron that even brought up that POS Porsche...

its not in the game.. its not relevant.. and its a POS.. so who the fvck cares..

Give me a real life 3rd gen RX7 and ill tear that POS a new asshat stock... corners 1/4 mile and top end..

Dude...I sort of agree with you..but you sound like a dipsh!t. Might want to talk like you aren't a 14 year old hardcore gamer, or something like that.

frankly I dont care what you or anyone else thinks... why should I care what a bunch of people I'll never meet from the internet thinks of me or how I talk...
Im sick and tired of this thread being jacked talking about this crap..
at least talk about a car thats worth a damn.
you hijacked a NFSU2 thread with BS about a car thats
A: crappy and overpriced in real life
b: NOT IN THE GAME..

I didn't hijack the thread you goddamned retard.

What do you guys think about the graphics? I think it looks so much better than UND1, I like the addition of Rain Splatter and AutoContrast, but Depth of Field doesn't seem to make any difference for me, what about you?
By the way, I play the game at 1024x768 16xAF/2xAA.

You're missing the point. A Boxster isn't the same kind of car as a 350z. A boxster is a roadster, to be compared with the Zed 4, Miata, S2000 & Audi TT. The 350z is a luxury coupe with a v8 sized v6.

how is it that I'm within stage 5, yet I haven't unlocked some stage 3 mods and the game says I'm not even 50% done with my career ? Stage 5 is the last stage.. is it really that extensive ? I've already got up to the Subaru WRX unlock...

Yeah the Boxster is slow. So what! I knew it wasn't fast when I bought it. There are more things to a car than being able to go fast on a straight line. Like being fun to drive. I used to love taking my Boxster with the top down up to the north GA mountains and just cruise the curvy roads while enjoying the beautiful scenery. The handling is superb and it's a fun convertible car. If I want to go fast, I just ride my bike. :D

That's exactly what I was thinking... for some reason I doubt that everyone who buys a sports car races.

Just uninstalled. The game was ok until about 60% complete, but after that there really isn't anything to gain from playing any more. Loosing all the money put into a car when trading it in is anoying. Not being able to put a wide body kit on more than one car and not being able to change it, same with the rest of the uniques.

I think they did an ok job with the game, but it could have been much better than they made it. It just doesn't have the lasting appeal I look for in a game.

love the game, been playing for the pasy 4 days straight! the RX7 is such a SCREAMER!! :) only thing I don't care for is the traffic on the downhill and the fact that on some races the AI just comes outta nowhere on the last 1/2 to 1/4 lap

I think you can turn off "catchup".

yah actually I finally got it last night... coal harbor west had some exclusive stuff... I thought all shops were the same so I didn't bother going there for stuff. Is it true that even with that, I'm only halfway done with the game ?

I have been playing this a little bit over the past three days. Here are some of my thoughts:

-Circuits - these are good, fun races
-Sprints - like the circuits, these are fun traditional races
-StreetX - these are pretty tough, but the challenge is great. I like how you need to knock into people to get ahead
-U.R.L. - fun challengin races
-Drifting - these seem pretty pointless
-Drag - they are better than the drag races in other games, but the idea is still kind of beat in my opinion
-Special Missions - I like racing through the city to get the photo shoots. It would be nice to have more of these
-General gameplay - I like the customizations, the car choices, the Bank and repuation ratings. The graphics are great! the motion blur is kind of cheesy, but it can be turned off. The outrun challenges are nice, but it would be better to have more variety with pick-up races.

I think you need to view the unique types of races differently. They are not anything like normal races; they require other kinds of technique. Sometimes the difting even seems a bit like a mini-game to me because of the way you gain points for your "tricks," but it's very fun because it gives you some variety, something other than trying to go as fast as you possibly can.

Despite people liking the NFS series more, I'm probably the only one who is severely disappointed. The thing that pisses me off the most is that fact that damage models are missing. I just can't stand crashing into something and not have the car damaged one bit! Also the advertisements before the game is done loading is fricken annoying, it seems the game has lost touch with it's roots and my steering wheel doesn't work too well with it anymore. I just don't feel like I'm driving anymore, yes NFS2 Hot pursuit was a large disappointment because the steering wheel was like pressing the arrow key on the keyboard, same with the gas pedals. You press the gas and it maxes out, same with steering which really ruins the experience. Even NFS3 had very good association with the gas pedal and steering wheel. It was so realistic, pressing on the gas slightly didn't revv up the engine to the max like in the more recent versions. I played NFS because it was the closest simulator to GT series on the PS2 that I know of. I know the physics where kind of out of whack but I STILL find the series fun to play. The Underground series is just a very big disappointment, it saddens me where the series has gone. It's not the whole atmosphere of the game or anything, I like it a lot but it seems the game has been dumbed down so it's just GAS, Brake, Left and Right. Nice graphics, but disappointing physics, no damage models, ads before the game, too dumbed down/simplified UGH!

I think you should just go play TOCA Race Driver 2 and you'll be satisfied.
