BTW played the demo and I will buy the game in lets say 6 months it will be cheap and I have lots of HL2 and WoW to play.

true. But i think nissan is fairly well known for making quality cars. Of course porsche is as well. Its really just a personal thing
I don't like the boxter, I think its ugly. Truth be told I have not driven one and have driven the g35. The g35 just plain looks much better, it is faster, which does count. Its into I believe its 3rd year of production so it has been refined somewhat. It's really a nice car... that throaty exhaust is nice too

1. the v6 engine made by infiniti aka nissan is considered the best made period. They have won this award for MANY years running now from the AJAC. The v6 variant in the g35 coupe is a highly tuned model of this. so no, the g35 has a better engine.
2. these are sports cars and as far as performance goes, the g35 is a faster 0-60 car as well as 0-100, quarter mile and so on. this really counts as far as sports cars go, in case you were wondering.

3. the g35 looks great, the boxter looks like a 911 hatchet job. it really does look like a 'wannabe' porsche and its performace is definately 'wannabe' compared to a real porsche.
4.it may be a bit more comfy inside. who cares. when it comes to sports cars, in case you didn't know, ideas of comfort are not important.
5. as to the better pedigree, well that is a consideration for media-slaved folks who believe a label improves them. its a farce. the boxter is made exactly for these brainwashed people, who want to own a porsche but cant afford the real deal so get a boxter.
6. the g35 is a better car.
This is not an ideal comparison.
The Boxster is a sports car, the G35 is not. By definition a sports car is a two seater. End of story.
I love the G35 but if I had to pick or the other, I?d pick the Boxster.
Of course, a G35 is half the price of a Boxster S.
i can see your point. but well if the boxster is a sports car and the g35 is not.. um it's a laugh that the g35 is faster than. even more so considering the boxter s has 280horses just like the g35 coupe.
A Bentley Arnage T is WAY faster than a g35, and it weighs nearly 3 tons. It's a luxury car.
A roadster isn't about straight line acceleration, that's why the Miata is a good car, the Z4 is a good car, and the Boxster is a good car.

I can't stop playing the game since I purchased it. Right now my current car is the Peugeot 206. This is the same car I was using in the first NFS:U and I seem to notice a slight difference in the way the car drives and reacts. I purchased the H2 just for the heck of it. Probably the only time I will ever be able to own one. hehe. The thing is a tank! I wonder if they are that groggy to get moving in real life? It seems like it takes it a good 5 minutes to get up to cruising speeds.
racing H2s and Escalades are pretty funny. The performance realism isn't there at all, but this isn't that type of game. Its so funny to play with trainers on also

is it me? or does the road seem to be comprised of huge squares? the demo was fine but i bought it and the game turns out to be ugly =(
nope looks better than the demo on my box.. i hear there is soemthing wrong with ATI and this program..
And the Boxster actually has the correct engine/transmission setup.
I'm glad to hear they actually put DECENT cars in this one. In the first one, all the cars sucked...who wants to drive a Honda Civic or VW Golf as a "race car"?:roll:

I have a question (I'm only 50% thru the game according to "F4")... anyway... I assume certain cars with same mods available still go faster than other cars, correct ? Is this superiority based on original HP + Top Speed ?
ie.. a 3000GT (320HP) will still beat a Skyline R34 (276HP), both with full mods.. ? Just trying to get a feel for how it was "programmed". Cause if I want a lesser car like the Supra through to the end of the game, will I be at a disadvantage ?

I think there is more to it than that. I just go through the cars myself..find ones that fit my needs or are really fast.
its simulating car weights as well..
the lighter cars need less HP to go fast...

The Boxter sucks compared to the 350Z or G35 in both straight line and autox. I've seen several professional races involving the G35, Boxter, 350Z, S2000, WRX STI and in every race the boxter comes in dead last by dozens of car lengths. It's no secret that the boxter is the worst sports car out there for that kind of money.
