So do you have no children? Because mid/late 20's sounds about right for a person from the 50's to begin having children, and that would put them in the late 70's.

The quite incorrect part was meant for me being born in the 70's.

Yes, I have one. He is 28 years old. My wife and I made sure he did not grow up lazy or stupid. It was an arduous task to say the least. He wanted to be retarded and lazy, but we over came this and made him a useful and productive part of society. So many parents fail at this.

Help us John Kerry, we are stuck here in iraq.

John+Kerry+Help+us+we+are+stuck+in+IRAQ.jpg

this was quite funny.

And by parents, you mean all those brilliant, hard working people born before the late '70s?

The truth is that IQ has been going up over the years; despite the quality of the education system degrading since we allowed smart women to do something other than be a nurse or be a teacher.

If we want to attract the same quality of person to teaching that we had 60 years ago we are going to need to pay 80k a year to start and have the ability to advance, promote and fire individuals based on performance.

I'm curious how many of those fail intentionally?
My entire class was given the ASVAB in high school, I got about 15-20 questions in and realized if I did well I would have recruiters bothering me non-stop.
I had no desire to enter the military so I filled in the rest of it with random answers.

No.

By parents I mean PARENTS. Mommies and Daddies for you.

You must have been born after the late 70's and cannot read or comprehend very well. Sorry about the big word.

When I took the ASVAB at MEPS, it was after being awake for nearly 24 hours. Most people taking with me were similar. Its not given under ideal 'test taking' conditions.

I took it as a junior in high school, and aced it. At that time I wanted to get into the military, and I had recruiters on my ass for the next year. I lost the desire to get into the military over that year, and worked in a bakery instead. Btw, recruiters are dicks :^/

The younger generations ( born after the late 70's ) are retarded and lazy.

Not all but most. It is bad when you can't even be accepted into the Army as cannon fodder.

LOL. You know what's more funny? The generation that's teaching them is utter fail. OH WAIT, THAT'S THE GENERATIONS BEFORE THEM

LOLOLOLOL

I think the whole thing is bs. The other 23% put x=1.999... and the graders didn't know that it was correct.

No. You sir are a dumbass.

If you had the best teacher in the world in a class with these dumbasses ( like yourself ) that don't care and don't want to learn anything. How much do you think they will learn?

Nothing they don't give a shit.

I forgive you. You are just a child and don't know any better. Another winning comment from TridenT. :O suprise.

Go eat some more fruit loops.

I was surprised, where you surprised, I was VERY surprised.

Wait... are we talking about the all transvestite para-trouping brigade?

Thanks. But it still isn't 4. And it is still incorrect.
I believe the ... was meant to indicate that the .9 went on forever.

So: Calculus much?

The intent of this poster was to explain that you can only blame your own generation for the quality of the next generation.

Even still 2 + 1.999 doesn't equal 4 regardless of how long the .9999999's go on. It wasn't a calculus problem it was basic math. They don't have calculus on the military entrance exams.

I realise this. I was born way before the retarded age... I don't need you to explain the post to me, but thanks anyway.

I too was being a smart ass. :)

So they say " I'm retarded and it is all my parents fault ".

Sorry that don't cut the mustard. They don't give a shit and it is mostly their fault. Look around at how the kids act these days.

That's why I didn't change that. Everyone knows that 3.999... is not equivalent to 4.

Well not Everybody ...

Calculus only works if 1.indefinit9 is = 2; Are we to defy the assumptions of calculus? I know my philosophy professors do.

Ah. Sometimes it's hard to hear the intonations in someone's voice in text.

I know, I've been this far |-| from being banned from this forum more times than I care to remember because sarcasm doesn't alwase get through....

and the next thing you know you're calling for the extermination of all trans-gendered midgets and NeckBeard takes it seriously!

Well I will give you 1.(indef)9 is very close to 4, but ... in general math it isn't. :)

okay are we seriously going to start this again?

0.999...(to infinity) = 1
1.999....(to infinity) = 2

We have discussed this ad-infinitum on this forum. How can like three of you guys not know this?
