I think I'll add my DieHard battery to this list. Its 7 years old, and it has started in this cold winter without a hitch. And I park my car outside, some recent nights at -15F (no windchill!)

My Kyosho Wild Dodge Ram. No matter what I can always count on it starting and allowing me to have some fun for a few hours.

My way of debating with my wife, me setting her up, letting her talk herself into a corner, then pwning her with clear facts.

i disagree. recently, the switch broke on one of mine. still pretty good as a one-handed blunt weapon.

I'll second the maglite flashlight.
The desktop power strip thing (flat metal chassis, lighted rocker switches on the front: MASTER, COMPUTER, MONITOR, PRINTER, AUX1, AUX2) that is underneath my monitor is about 20 years old. My ex-wife had it when we got married in 1990 and I managed to abscond with it. Here it is, underneath my 24" monitor LCD, powering it up. I remember when it was under a 13" monochrome monitor powering up a 8088 based XT desktop computer.

My current chair which I bought on clearance and figured it was on sale cause it sucked. My surefire G2 Led model has served me well and hasn't died on me.

Nah, sometimes weed isn't as good as advertised. That leaves me pissed off, cuz I usually wasted 10-15 bucks when that happens.

I can always trust my keys to work when I have them with me. It's the only insurance for a drunk to get home (I'm not talking about driving).

Edit: You know, I've never had a CPU fail me. Video cards, DVD/CD drives, hard drives, memory, PSU...never CPU - or motherboard.

Even the paint is good.

My knife.

I have a pocket knife that double crossed me bigtime. It's a Buck, mini $15 and the locking mechanism gave way and it got the top of my index finger almost 2 years ago. Still hurts pretty often. I bitched to Buck and sent them the guilty knife and they sent me a replacement but I don't trust that fucker. If you press down hard enough on the tip of the blade, it will buckle again. It's an accident waiting to happen. Hopefully, I won't forget that and not use the knife that way.

I've found that packaging opening methods seldom work right. Anyone else notice that? I know, you can make them work if you are careful enough a lot of the time. What never fails me is Droste Cocoa. Their opening/closing system is brilliant on the cardboard & paper boxes.

I have a Coleman Lantern that I've used in camping and random power outages for over 25 years, with the same mantles and it never lets me down. Damn, the thing has never needed attention, just flat out works. So I'd like to hear some other sorts of things....

I have a Coleman stove, the old kind that uses white gas, not propane. I used one decades ago and when I saw one for sale at a flea market I got it. I keep it in case of an earthquake if the gas is shut off I'll be able to cook anyway. It would be good on camping trips, too. Has two burners, a sheltering system from the wind. Very nice. More economical than the propane ones they sell nowadays. I don't think they make the liquid gas burning ones anymore.

My clock radio. I've had the fucking thing for as long as I can remember. No seriously, since I was a small child. And I punch it every day.
