RCA alarm clock that I bought in May '93. It resides on my nightstand and works like a champ.

Bought it at the PX after I just graduated basic training. Some 15yrs later its still going strong.

Broken lead. Then what? Sharpen the pencil again with the paper?

fixed

What if you are out of lead? Or the mechanism jams.

never had one jam and you always lose them before they run out of lead.

Good point...

My Supra, up until a week ago when it blew the head gasket at 17 years of age and 200k miles.

Out of curiosity, is yours a turbo, and did you retorque the head bolts? Lots of MKIII Supras were notorious for having inconsistently torqued head bolts, which caused the HG to blow prematurely, especially on the turbo ones. I am assuming you are going to keep the car and change the head gasket?

While we are talking about bullet-proof straight six engines, the Jeep Cherokee my father gave me has proven to be quite tough. Chrysler was quite wise to stick to that AMC design and add there own electrical system. I can't say it has never let me down, as an electrical problem has ironically left me stranded before. However, when it does work, the torque is quite gut, and the 4wd system is top notch for sure.

I guess as far as material things go, I have either lost most of my stuff, or it has failed. In fact, I think the longest time I have owned anything has been a little ceramic owl statue for over 10 years now. So I guess the only thing I have observed that FLAT out works every time has been the thermonuclear action of the sun, and gravity.

my plextor 12x10x32A CDRW Drive, which has yet to burn a coaster and is still in my secondary rig. The thing is around 10 years old and has yet to burn a coaster.

Honda generator that I got from my grandfather. I know he had it at least 15 years before I got it, and it still starts on the first pull with no trouble. Runs about 18 hours on one tank of gas too, and is extremely quiet when running.

I am gonna buy a much bigger generator this year, and I will definitely be paying a lot for the big honda - that little one sold me on the quality of their generators.

Ancient Emerson VCR that I've still got. My dad told me he got it sometime after he moved to the states in the early 80s, and I know it at least predates 1985 as it doesn't have HiFi Stereo. God, that thing makes SO much noise when used, and it always has, but it's never eaten a tape and the picture still looks great, for VHS of course.
