Battlefield 2. Lousy piece of shit. Same damn engine(but with much steeper hardware requirements), same damn gameplay (with some new annoying ass 'features'), and the same damn problems from the previous one (along with a slew of new ones aswell), Worst $55 I've ever spent.
I loved Battlefield 1942, but Battefield 2 was a rehashed broken shitpile.

BF2. when a menu takes that long......

the maps are also too big for my taste. but the menus kill me more than the maps do.

Diablo II I cannot understand all the hype this game received and still receives. I like RPGs and I even like hack & slash but this literally bored me to tears with its repetitive (x10000) "play." I got it in the bargain bin at my local EB and I want my money back. Talk about a waste of $...

I'd have to say God of War for the PS2 was pretty underwhelming for me, mythology was butchered right up and only used for the cool effect for underage teens, combat was satisfying but it wasn't as deep as reviewers would like you to think (there were great fluidness and combos and blocking was seamless but the game was easy enough that you could get by by button mashing) and the game was only about 7 hours long... it was a fun game and I definitely enjoyed playing it but it was nowhere near as good as reviews and people made it seem like it was, I never even finished God of War 2. I'll never understand how this game got more attention than the much deeper, more difficult and overall more polished gem that Devil May Cry 3 was and still is. Gears of War is also a game I disliked, the game is a pretty uninspired, unsatisfying shooters with some of the most horrible characters I've seen and the blandest graphics I've seen since the Atari 2600, basically GoW's graphics is what you get when you put together a genius technical graphics team with a mediocre artistic team.

Those are two examples of EXTREMELY praised games I thought were in case 1 (God of War) an slightly above average action game and in case 2 (gears of war) an extremely mediocre and forgettable game.

It was for me too. It was cool, but not the ass kicker that the reviews made it out to be.

NWN2. The interface is just horrible--I could keep playing it. And I had such high hopes for it.

To go slightly off topic, I have to say that Dead Rising for the 360 was the biggest sack of puss I've ever played. It had moments, but overall I felt more frustrated than elated... strike that, MLB2K8, HORRIBLE GAME! They put out a half assed patch, no-one plays it online. Craptacular stuttering framerate, just totally sucktacular.
For the PC, I'd go with DoomIII or FarCry, impressive graphics, hideous gameplay.

STALKER - Most of the people here seemed to love the game so I decided to give it a go. It sucks. Mediocre, at best, FPS crossed with a mediocre RPG. Some people said you need to stick with it for a bit to get to the good parts, but I just couldn't do it. It turned me off instantly.

FEAR - Again, overhyped POS. You spend the bulk of the game in building basements, warehouses, and offices fighting a legion of the same guys. Just got bored in the middle somewhere and quit.

All MMORPGs. I played WoW for about three hours on a friend's account and found it to be completely uninteresting. I don't feel like getting sucked in by any others, either.

Just one ... ?

Doom3 has to be the only game i hated that i actually finished
- i guess it was "too real" for me; i actually felt stuck in a "gamer's hell" and i am glad it was short and not an "Eternity" .. and the CyberPussy was too easy .. straight to gehnna .. he did not pass go .. nor did he collect much of anything on the way.

then BioShock .. which is 'fair' but a dumbed-down shameless ripoff of SS2 ..
.. i just got Crysis today :p

Oblivion. Extremely boring and poor implementation.

CoD4. The feel was surprisingly good but it's so heavily and badly scripted. All the CoD (and MoH) games I tried have had this problem, but CoD4 is the one that get's let down the most as it could otherwise have been really good.

BF2142. OK it has quite a few good points and is nearly exceptionally good. So near yet so far. How do people tolerate such shoddy work? It's one of the few games where I actually wanted my money back because I didn't want people having my money for something that was beta. Except on beta's you tend to find continuous improvement - can you even move the Titans yet without it totally screwing up the server?

Baked try turning motion sway/bob off, if there's not an option in the menus then there will be somewhere in the config files.

RE: Return to Castle Wolfenstein: ok singleplayer wasn't at all great, but multiplayer on the other hand is the best I've ever played by a wide margin. I can't understand not enjoying BioShock either, I think Portal should have beat it to the GotY awards more but I'd still be putting BioShock as #2.

Sins of a Solar Empire.
Starcraft.
Oblivion (Not really a RPG fan in the first place so that would probably be why)
World in Conflict.
Final Fantasy 12.
CoD3.

And thats just the tip of the Iceberg.

Starcraft was nothing special.

The Tomb Raider series was horrible.

RTCW was boring as hell.

BF 1942 was bad and unbalanced.

HL2 was good for the first hour, then it got old quickly. the only thing i liked after the first hour was the boss battles.

The Sims. I just don't get it. Repetitive monotonous crap.

GTA San Andreas- GTA and Sims all rolled in one. Stupid.

Morrowind, Empty, boring and buggy never bothered to try Oblivion because of it. I truly hope Bethesda doesn't screw up Fallout 3.
Supreme Commander, it just doesn't seem to grab me.
Doom III, could of been so much better.
