Halo (I). Played almost through to see what the ruckus is about, and quit. I can see it is a quality game - graphics were great for the time, sound is nice, controls were pretty good (except in vehicles), but I was mainly bored throughout. Identical corridor after another, wussy pewpew lasers, most enemies were boring. I know the plot is *supposed* to be good, but I never found myself caring about anybody or anything in it. Not even seeing what comes next.

Quake, including the sequels. I never liked it all that much, I enjoyed other FPSes far more. I tried the first Quake at a friend, and just blasted through the parts he announced as dangerous without being hit more than once or twice.

Online counter parts of these games:

CounterStrike Source
Couterstrike
Half Life 2 Deathmatch
Unreal Tournament
Team Fortress 2
Call of Duty 1
Call of Duty 2
Call of Duty 3
Call of Duty 4
Halo
Halo 2
Halo 3
Quake 1, 2, 3 and so on.
Doom 1, 2, 3 and so on.

Shoot, Die, Respawn. Shoot Die Respawn. Repeat.

Dictionary:
Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over and over.

No tactics, no skill but reflex testing, nothing but a waste of time. Apparently a waste of money too imo, but a boon for game developers looking to make a quick buck. I enjoyed Crysis and Assassins Creed. Good stories and tactics involved. I would say BF2 but the mod "Project Reality" saved the game for me.

Other games I found to be dull after purchase:
World of Warcraft
Diablo 2
Especially: World in Conflict (9.6 score?!?! WTF?! I say a 7.5 at most!)

These games seem to attract pissy/crabby 10 year olds with sticks up their ass or 50 year olds still living with their parents, from my experience in online voice comm channels, thats all I ever heard. Smart games like Armed Assault, BF2-PR, AssassinsC, Crysis, OFP, (maybe a little Rainbow 6 Vegas, although Tom Clancy has become more and more arcadish rather than tactical in recent years), CoH, Falcon 4.0, FSX, Sins of a Solar Empire, and Medieval 2 just to name a few.

TF2 unfortunately is one game I don't really enjoy too much. Gets to repetitive and I just don't really wanna spend the time to get better with the classes.

WarCraft 3, World in Conflict, WoW and BioShock.

BioShock wasn't a bad game per say, but when nothing can hurt me (there's no point in even using med kits. you die, come back close to where you where with absolutely no penalty) then the game becomes too easy.

Sins of Solar Empire....

Uninstalled it about 20min after installing. I am a big fan of strategy games and space themed games, but I thought SOSE was garbage.

1)Doesn't have depth of view/space. Feels like any other strategy game that has "space" as background. If the background was different, these units would probably look like your tanks or other vehicles on the ground.

2)Gfx are not too my liking. Looks much worse than COH or C&C3.

3)Doesn't have single player! What the hell gives? I wonder who had the bright idea of doing away with a single player campaign....

Supreme Commander

Total Disappointment. Loved Total Annihilation, hated SupCom.

1)Too much micromanagement.
2)Cant see everything when zoomed in, and everything gets too small when zoomed out.
3)Units refuse to stay put and will follow the enemy every time he attacks which results in them being slaughtered. No working "hold ground" stance.
4)No formation buttons/options. Yes, there is a shortcut, but that's just not good enough.
The whole game just feels "wrong" somehow. It doesn't have a "soul" to it.
5)Building stuff takes a loooooooooong time. I felt like I'll grow old, and be covered in web by the time I build an epic unit or a nuke... I understand these should be expencive and take long to build, but this is too long.

Elder Scrolls: Morrowind

I really tried to like this game, but all NPCs feel like robots. The world doesn't feel remotely alive. It don't feel like I'm talking to live beings when playing this game. Even the world of games like Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate felt more alive than this.
IMO, one of the main goals of a game designer is to make the player feel like he is inside the game, and make him relate to NPCs. Morowind doesn't offer that.

FEAR

Aside from the very cool fights with clone soldiers that get repetitive very fast, it was not even all that scary. Cheap "shock/gasp" type frights is all it has too offer. It wasn't actually scary or creepy. It doesn't "get to you" like STALKER does, for example. Any person would probably be shocked at least for a second while walking into a dark room presented with a sudden "surprise" such as his buddy jumping out of the closet wearing a "scream" mask and a bloody knife, but that's not "scary". Stuff like that is all FEAR has to offer... you suddenly see the "girl" at times when you least expect to see her, and that is the only thing remotely frightening.
Doom 3 and STALKER scared me a lot more. STALKER builds up the atmosphere with music and surroundings. Imagine.. You are walking in an underground tunnel, there are pools of bubbling radioactive waste around you emitting a green glow, and casting eery shadows around you... A broken lamp on the ceiling is making a spark every now and then... It's pitch black at the end of the tunnel.. You dont know what to expect. Then you see these.. "eyes" in the distance.. These, horrible, glowing eyes... You hear heavy breathing, then a terrifying howl, as the eyes are getting closer to you with frightening speed. You start shooting like a maniac, and suddenly you see a monster revealing itself, and getting closer and closer, despite you pumping it full of lead. Before you know it, it's all over, and the terrible, humanoid creature bends over your corpse, sucking the blood out of it....

Easy, any of the Call of Duties. They were so obviously scripted that I could tell where the triggers were before I even tripped them. I was unimpressed by all four.

FEAR and Prey were also absolutely generic IMO and not worth the time.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance!!!

The controls were screwy and when you'd get to a boss, you'd have to hit a combination of keys in a certain amount of time to proceed.

I got to the giant robot guy (fogot his name) who chases you through the city. Then comes the memorizing of what key to hit and when!!! After about 50 attempts at this............I traded it for COD4!

What was the name of the crappy god game by Peter Molenaux? It was released about five years ago and you controlled the game with a giant hand and can grab your peons and throw them around. It was fun for about two minutes and then I was dead bored. Funny because PC Gamer thought it was the shit for some reason.

That game sucked ass.

In fact, it sucked so bad I can't remember it's name!

Call of Duty 4, I got bored before completing it and it was one of the very few games I've ever returned for refund (it happened from memory only four times since my N64 days).

Ugh, terrible interface! Yeah, it got loads of press, but was both a pain and a chore to play.

Awesome game if it was at all hard, but it's so easy it's more like a movie than a game.

Easily Homeworld. Way to easy, way to short, way to constrained. This game was beautiful with massive potential and I finished it in a single sitting without breaking a sweat. I was really upset when the game ended. . . I felt ripped off.

HW2 online is still a blast for me and my buds. Everyone using teamspeak and 3v3 matches are always fun. Especially when they hyperspace in behind your base with a huge army! Then your like "Oh no!!! Help! Im an idiot and forgot the Hyperspace inhibitors! Ahh!!"
