last night i started painting some patched walls before i went out. i got the bathroom and the holes along the beam finished last night.

the yellow along the beam came out great, can't notice a thing at all. in the bathroom it was tough to sand down there so you can see a little bit that it is patched, but only if you look hard enough. it's in a corner so it isn't like people will be paying attention to detail down there.
additionally, and you can kind of see this in the picture, i am not 100% sure if the blue matches perfectly. so check this shit out...
i went to paint the blue last night, from a gallon of paint that they left, that was probably 99% full. i mean it felt brand new, but you could see paint lines down the side so they obviously used it. so i used that paint and after it was dry, it kind of didn't match 100%. like i could tell it was a bit lighter in color. so i went to the closet in the garage with all the paint and i found ANOTHER blue paint bucket, that had like 5% of the paint left in it. it looked identical to the other paint though.
so i took it inside to compare the paint codes. so the paint codes are NOT identical, they are BARELY different. here is a pic of the paint codes on the top of the can.

WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT? it is like the previous owners trolled the shit out of me! so i tried putting a coat of that paint on, since it was 99% empty which means they obviously used it. so that is what is on there now. it seems like a better match, but STILL it does not seem 100%. i think though it might just be the edge that i can see. but like you cannot see it unless you are looking for it.
and i also won't recommend glidden paint to anyone ever again. if i could do it all over again i would not have gotten the red glidden paint, but either behr or benjamin moore. the blue paint is behr and the yellow one is benjamin moore, and you really only need 1 coating of it on to make it look nice. i did put 2 on though just because. you can just tell how much thicker the paint is than the glidden, especially benjamin moore.
here is a pic of the first coat of the red on the ceiling.

you can see how thin the paint is. gonna need at least 2 more coats, if not 3 or 4. pain in the ass!
