thx.

holy shit man i just re-ran audyssey and it sounds SSSOOOO good. i can definitely notice a difference. the most noticeable difference though is i have to turn it down lower than i used to, by about 5-7 db, because it is even louder now since the tweeters are all ear level or pointing at ear level.

was in the car for 10 hours today and came home with these...

i hooked them up stereo and man, it's crazy how much different the T12's sound. they are MUCH MUCH louder and fuller than these. well i guess it's not that surprising lol.

anyways, when in stereo i noticed that 1 of the speakers tweeters definitely isn't as loud as the other one. like, it isn't as high pitched. but this is only noticeable to me when i'm trying to listen for it, as in going up real close and going back and forth comparing the 2 speakers. when just listening i can't tell, so i'm not sure what to make of it just yet.

also i may move the tweeter driver to the center, just not sure how to do that or how hard it is.

so i'm also looking for advice on how to wall mount these. here are the locations where they will be mounted, to the side of the speaker jacks.

there is a stud about 8 inches or so to the side of each speaker jack. i was thinking about one of these maybe ...

and mounting that to the stud, and then mounting some piece of wood/board/shelf to the top of it, centered, then placing the speaker on it.

would something like that hold 50lbs or so up there and not worry about it tipping over, if secured to a stud? and what kinda screws would i use to secure it to a stud?

having some issues with one of the speakers. not fun, but looks like the owner of jtr is going to help me fix them free of charge under warranty. if i have to pay any shipping i'll ask the seller if he will pay it though, since he was unaware there was an issue with one of them.

Looking good. I like the stands.

What kind of speakers are those? Kind of look like Cerwin Vegas

thanks, and yea anubis hit it on the head with what they are.

although the t8's that i have are 2010 models so they look a little different and have a different crossover in them and possibly drivers i believe. nothing that i could probably tell a difference with at the surround position. they do have an awesome engraving on the back though, that you can see just barely in one of the pics.

the wall mounts for the surrounds was this...

the stands for the mains i built myself and coated with duratex.

EDIT:

although the subs are the 2400's not the 1000's.
