I know how this feels. My Dad passed away 4 and a half years ago. It is tough to deal with and there is nothing that makes it better. I still have dreams about him and wake up thinking he is right there. Remember he will always be with you.

Being a parent, if I pass away knowing my children felt the same way about me that you do about your dad, I would feel like I accomplished what I wanted to do in life.

Make your dad proud.
 
🙁 I'm so sorry. One of the worst moments of a person's life is when a parent passes. It's a sort of passing of the torch. I offer my deepest condolences to you and your family.

I know what you are going through somewhat. My mother was killed by a drunk driver when I was 6 years old and I never got to "know" her and that has really bugged me to this day. My Dad was in the same vehicle and he was severly injured but got out of the Hospital 6 months later. He never talks about her very much which further frustrats me.

I morn for your loss but be thankful that you got to know him and can remember the good times you had. That will help you get through the tough times you are having.
