Wow, you are a complete and total jackass. I would call you a moron but that would insult the dumb people of the world.

:( My condolences. My friend's mom passed away recently, and as a close friend of his, I couldn't do anything but just be there. Sigh.

Stay close to your other family members and be strong for them.

My dad received a liver transplant this past Thanksgiving Day from Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Almost exactly 3 months after he is now back in the hospital because something went wrong and its not functioning. This is the worst nightmare for anyone especially my Dad.

His liver is slowing slipping away right now and he is going on a ventilator until they can locate a new liver and a kidney for him. Now he has to do a double transplant. I am so pissed I have to deal with school and work right now. I can't leave until 9pm to go see him at the hospital. I feel so hopeless right now I hate it. All I can do is pray for him. I can look into his eyes and see he is really scared.

I wrote this cuz right now I don't know what else to do.....I have an hour left then I can go see him and I pray to God its not for the last time. Its funny, its one of those things where you always read about something bad like this happening but you never think it could ever happen to your family. Growing up nothing could stop my dad or harm him. Now I have a million different thoughts running through my head and I don't know how to handle all this.

Please God be with him. I love my Dad.

I just got back from Northwestern. My Dad passed away after he asked to be taken off all the machines and medicines he was given. He fought hard and long and I don't blame him at all for his choice. It was his, no one but he could know the pain he was feeling for the past 16 months. God bless him, he was the greatest father I could ever ask for.

God please take care of my father. I love you Dad.

You guys are great. I really do appreciate all the support you guys have given me along with the PMs. I can't help but cry when I read this thread. Thank you, and God bless.

Oh, and some advice.....hug your parents if you see them soon.

I love you Dad.
