here we are a week out from launch, and still no mention of the netcode other than "its better than mk9 and injustice" which is saying absolutely nothing. that is like saying your crap doesn't stink quite as much as horse crap.

It'd be nice if KI became the rule and not the exception. The game looks great, but if it's anything like 9 then I'll have to pass.

I bought the Premium Edition, but I'm not exactly happy about it. I would note that on the xbox store the description of the Kombat Pack says "Kombat Pack grants early access to 4 new playable characters and skin pack"

Am I to take from that that these characters would eventually be unlocked anyway? If so, I find that to be more acceptable, even though I did shell out the cash to get them on release. I much prefer the Street Fighter way of doing this, where you complete tasks of varying difficulty in-game to unlock extra characters. It was always a great incentive to play as some characters I rarely used normally, and added a bit of excitement to the prospect of extra characters that just paying for them will never match.

i dont think they will be fully unlocked, but you can play whichever one is on rotation that week or month without purchasing them.

i think it's similar to how killer instinct has a free rotating character.

I chose a PS4 over an XBone because they decided to do this pricing model with Forza. At that point, it basically became which system is more powerful for me. And that was the PS4. So ya, I stuck my $400 in someone else's pocket over this issue. And I'll be frank. Forza was THE exclusive that I wanted when the new generation of consoles came out.

think forza 6 comes out this year, maybe just check that out. but pretty much every game has dlc now a days to make the game "complete" by your standards, so looks like you must not play anything on your consoles.

If your complaint is against the model that additional content will be sold and not given away after the game is released, you should stop playing games, because that is how it works now.

What you want, is to buy something and then have additional work be done to it and not help compensate those that worked on it? Yeah, that ain't happening.

And? That wasn't your gripe. And even if it was, it is a stupid one. You're preaching quantity over quality. If having thousands of crappy cars rendered from the PS2, go play Gran Turismo. Forza redid every single one of those 200 cars and 17 tracks in high res in a new (or updated) engine on a new platform. If that bothers you, okay.

The pricing model was "buy the game, get the full game released." I know this. I bought it on launch. And I enjoy every minute I play it.
