Also, still haven't heard anything of the netcode for MK X. I am going to assume it is bad and hold off for awhile. I'll let the FGC make their judgement on how bad it really is before jumping on it.

I play it local with friends so it's a buy for me either way. I'll post on here when the game releases

Go read what Forza gave you out of box.

Forza 4:
The game ships with over 500 cars and 26 tracks

Froza 5 (XBOne):
The game ships with 200 cars and 17 tracks

a game that is on it's 3rd iteration on the same console using a modified engine of the previous games has more content than a brand new game with a brand new engine that was rushed out for a brand new console.

color me shocked!

also, mkx has less characters (not counting "bonus" characters) than mk9 does. therefore it must be crap.

Excuse for everything huh? Bookmarked for when Forza 6 is released. They'll have plenty of time to "perfect it". I just worry about what they define as needing perfecting 3 years from now. We'll probably get 12 tracks and 50 cars. Then have to buy $40 worth of packs to get "all" 27 tracks and "all" 500+ cars. Fingers crossed!

But you act like the number of cars is the only factor in determining if a game is good.

Imho... Once you get so many, it becomes irrelevant. 200, 300, 500, 1000... Not sure why anyone cares, beyond a point to argue about.

Tracks, you have a point there. There's a significant difference between 12 and 15 and 20 and...

excuse for what? it's the reality.

if cars is all you care about, why are you even talking about forza? gran turismo has the car count crushed. they even use old ps2 models of cars lol.

I'll probably get this when I can get a deal on it as I won't be playing it a lot. If the concern that its not a full game is so important, many other games do dlc now, which is extra content. The game has all the characters most people are familiar with. I don't think many will use every single character anyway.

Loved mk9, but I'm not sure if I want to pay full price for the new one. I'll wait to hear if the single player content is worth it

Nor have I, this was originally going to be a day one purchase but not anymore. I only have like 1 bud to play this with locally. Online play is a must because the single player/campaign is just not enough anymore.

If you don't have anyone to play this locally with I'd wait it out for sure.
Hopefully it's better online then MLB the show. I love that game but batting is a bitch with lag

So, I know a couple dudes that got it early and the reports are it is better than MK9. No netplay yet though. It is better than Injustice though, from what I'm hearing.

Injustice was pretty bad, I got it because it was free one day.

I didnt think it was bad. But it wasnt great either. I found most of the combos too difficult to enter. The campaign was a hell of a lot better than anything Mortal Kombat has ever offered.

Also I didnt care much for the character or costume selection. MK9 was much better, especially as their special bonus was Freddy Kruger.

The special bonus in Injustice was.....
Skorpion? With most of his cool stuff not available. Lame.

Wish I could say the same. A few of my gamestop buddies may get it but I have a feeling they won't give it any real play time much like street fighter.

I like mortal kombat because it's something I can just pick up and play whenever without getting caught up in a story

Well, for me I'll be busy a while on games. Got Assassin's Creed Unity for $20 on PC and will have GTA V on PC starting tuesday.

found a store that was selling it and just snagged it.

ended up paying a $5 premium but it's worth it to me since i won't have any time during the week to try it out most likely.

EDIT:

thought goro was a preorder bonus. guess not. the card is just in the packaging to unlock him.

game has really good graphics i'm impressed. it feels very similar to how i remember MK9 though as far as controls, so it will be familiar to people i think. same buttons and everything, except it has the interact button.

don't really have time to play it tonight but hope to have some time tomorrow to play it. i just tossed it in to try it out but now i'm on daddy duty while my wife does stuff.

but damn, the one stage that it's raining outside at night, the water hits the characters and it just looks really good.

also not a fan of how you have to unlock fatalities and brutalities in the krypt (as far as unlocking them so that it shows you how to do them).

They did make it seem that way didn't they? I guess all the first copies will get the extra character.

Hey since I know you have a stick for this game on XB1, would you tell me the button layout you use for the vewlix setup on the stick and how it works out compared to using the controller? Mortal Kombat always had a unique layout and I felt vewlix setups or the double rows didn't feel right. If the arcade stick setup isn't ideal without an MK specific stick I might end up with this on PS4(for what I feel is a superior d-pad), but if it works well I'll go XB1. I have a PS3 stick that can work on PS4 though but I like the TE2 better for it's more solid feel.

I'm actually hearing good feedback about the game from those who got it early and might get it myself(not much info on netcode yet but some people say it's fine).

That's what it said you got for pre ordering the digital version. Not that I really care or anything but they probably just bundle it in the first copies that go to the stores.
