Just because fasting is something that gets overlooked by a lot of people, and it is a very powerful tool.

Yeah, in case you can't tell, I'm razzing ya...I actually read bits and pieces of it when I was younger. Just too many things in it I can't buy. And I can't take it on faith alone...to me, that's about like accepting the DaVinci code as true, on faith...

Actually, the new editions do have some pretty nice little pictures. (Just for clarity, lest someone think otherwise, the new edition just added the pictures and uses a new, thinner paper for the pages, making the Book smaller and lighter)

Actually, we don't ask or expect you to take it on faith. We expect you to read it and pray about it. Ask God if it's true, don't just take it on faith. He's promised to reveal the truth of all things to all people. So just ask him.

God, is it right for me to take another wife? God? God, are you there? If you are there, send a breeze over my right shoulder.... .... .... a breeze.... .... .... Ok, if you're there, have a cock crow.... .... .... just have a cock crow.... .... .... okay, if you're there, make my leg itch.... you know what God? I think my leg sort of itches. Okay, is it right for me to take another wife? God? God? You there? Okay, if I walk home and don't step on any cracks on the sidewalk, I'll know taking another wife is okay, right God? Okay, I'm walking home now...

*step* *step* *step* *step* WHOOPS, A CRACK, better not step on that... *step over* *step* *step* Uh oh, another crack, better avoid that one... *steps over, lands on hidden crack* NOOOOOO, A PHANTOM CRACK! WHY GOD? WHY? WHHYYYYYYYY????????????

Yes. Read the Book of Mormon.
It can be found in the fiction section of your local bookstore or library.

I find it convenient that you have excuses for everything. You don't believe scholars who state that Smith couldn't read Egyptian and state that it was some sort of Hybrid Egyptian language. I give you scripture stating that we won't be married in Heaven as we are on earth, biblical passages that state we will be married to the lamb of God, and you tell me the bible is wrong or misinterpreted.

Please tell me, YES or NO, do you believe in the planet Kolob?

Please, someone answer me. Do you believe in the planet Kolob? Hmmm? That Jesus lives there? That it is a star close to God's throne?

Not everywhere. :)

Oh, oh, I wonder if that's because the Book of Mormon wasn't written in Egyptian, but reformed Egyptian. Wow, actually that really does help. It helps to proves that the Golden Plates were exactly what Joseph Smith said they were, confirmed by scholars. Thanks for showing us that.

I give you scripture stating that we won't be married in Heaven as we are on earth, biblical passages that state we will be married to the lamb of God, and you tell me the bible is wrong or misinterpreted.

Actually, you misinterpreted that, I never stated the Bible was wrong, but actually said it was spot on. Why do you lie? You're just not willing to accept a perfectly good explanation that would mean you don't properly understand the scripture. Let's look at it again, shall we.

"Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven."

Hmmm, as I said before, that simply stated that marriage does not happen at that time. It makes absolutely no impact on, nor does it in any way affect, marriages that have happened prior to that time.

Please tell me, YES or NO, do you believe in the planet Kolob?

Sure do.

Believe in it? Yes. That Jesus lives there? No. I recall something about the right hand of God. Is it the star closest to God's throne? Yes.

Happy?

Okay, so you believe that God's Throne is a physical place and that some planet named Kolob is close to it?

Do you see how ridiculous this is?

"C'mon ya'll. Lets get on the starship and go to Planet Kolob!" Seriously, where is this planet Kolob located?

Tell me this. When you get married in the temple, do you or do you not receive special names?

Also, please provide some biblical scripture that eludes to there being multiple levels of heaven as well. That always bothered me. Also, please provide some biblical scripture that even hints at us being gods of our own little planets.

My guess is that Mormons would retort by stating that it is in the Book of Mormon. LOL?

Nice ploy to attract people who do not want to be servants of God in both earth and above. YOU CAN BE YOUR OWN GOD! JOIN NOW!

Yes I believe God has a physical throne in a physical place. When Joseph Smith asked God where he was, God mentioned a planet called Kolob and said he was close to that. Take that for what it's worth. It's like a child who lacks understanding asking a father where heaven is located, and the father says "in the sky".

Also, please provide some biblical scripture that eludes to there being multiple levels of heaven as well. That always bothered me.
1st Corinthians 15: 40
There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
41.There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

If you don't think that is referring to heaven, please tell me what it is referring to. Also if you speak any other languages (specifically latin based) You will realize that the word "celestial" is interchangable with the word "heaven" in many other languages.

Okay, so hypothetical question. If we could build a spaceship that could travel anywhere in the Universe, we could visit God on his home planet?

As far as your interpretation of Corinthians, I simply disagree. Exactly how many levels are there of your heaven? Are you going to be a god of your own planet?

Could we build a spaceship and find God on his "home planet"? No. Joseph Smith taught that not only is there the matter that we can see, but also everything on the spiritual plane is made of matter also, we simply cannot see it because our eyes aren't open to it or pure enough to see it. Moses for example (i'm sure you're familiar with the story, but maybe not so much on the details), had to be "changed" in order to be in God's presence, because in his natural form he would have withered and died. There are spiritual things that happen around us all the time that we simply cannot see or percieve because of our lack of understanding/lack of desire to see/etc.

Please enlighten me to your interpretation of that Corinthians scripture then, as I have already asked and yet you have failed to do so.

May I become a God of my own planet? Perhaps, if I continually strive in knowledge and self perfection. The bible clearly states that we are brothers of christ and joint-heirs in his kingdom if we are worthy to do so.

I find it funny that people bag on Mormons for some of their beliefs (especially orthodox Christians). If everyone were to take a step back, they would see that the strangness doesn't lie within "special underwear," but believing that diety visited earth and had himself killed so we could return to god. To me, having "special underwear" is much less strange than the whole concept of an onimpotent being.

Many people believe in a god in one form or another. That isn't so strange that we believe in a master who created us.

As for the underwear, it is strange that a religion would use something like underwear to grant special power and protection. It is one of the signs of a cult. Why underwear?

But isn't there a commandment that states we are not supposed to worship anyone except the one true God? That we are not to worship anything or anyone else, not even something in his likeness? If you are the god of your own planet, will people not worship you? Or is it more like a ruler of a kingdom?

Do you get to pick your planet? I would be pissed if I got stiffed with a little planet like Pluto.

Rather than blaspheming on things that you don't understand, why don't you stick on the subject of something you understand so well, such as the Corinthians scripture.

Is this where you tell me you also believe in ghosts and other beings living in alternate planes?

Wow I overestimated you. I thought i was dealing with someone much more intelligent then what you're displaying. Go fly a kite.
