Two more resigned today here in UK https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/theresa-may-resign-ben-bradley_uk_5b44d927e4b07aea7544af73 problem is the PM is too soft in her talks, we need a new Maggie Thatcher that takes no crap from the EU bullies, end of the day Brexit will go through and get sorted one way or another, I'm not voting for the Tories in the next election that is for sure.
EU has too many crappy laws on UK and that is really one of the reasons why a lot of people voted to leave, we just want our own country back and controlled by us and not the EU puppets.
Who do you propose we trade with if not the EU? 55% of our exports go (well, 'went', prior to referendum) there. If we want to continue exporting to the EU, we have to follow their trade rules regardless of whether we're in the EU or not. You've advocated swapping a situation where we had a say and even a veto in those rules to having no say and no veto.
And before you say "trade with other countries instead", do you know how many businesses your decision will throw under the bus? One of my customers runs their own business, they voted Brexit, and even before Brexit has even been finalised they're saying that they've lost 4/5's of their customers (EU businesses of course) who thought it was wiser to find a new source for their parts before the shit hit the fan.
To have trading partners, you have to follow their rules. The UK is not a big fish in the world and hasn't been for a very long time, nor do we have some essential resource that other nations are banging down our door for. Your idea of control is pure naivety, unless you intend to wield significant influence through political activism. You've simply been duped by people with lots of money, for whom change is the chance of profit, and for whom loss is a recoverable situation because they're never betting the farm. Most of the people in the UK do not have that luxury.
