Just a few days before Trump visits London, the whole Brexit clusterfuck gets even more messy as Boris Johnson and one of May's overseers for Brexit effectively resign from their jobs. While it's not very surprising that Boris would do such a thing, it only complicates the Brexit matter even more; putting May in an even more undesirable situation than before.

Can't say I have any sympathy for them. Unsurprisingly, this makes the British government look even more chaotic and fractured than the EU.

Hopefully they can still get brexit? Wtf are you talking about? Do you even know what brexit is about?
You don’t expect him to know what the UK Supreme Court has ruled about withdrawing from Article 50 once notice is given do you?

May is being forced into a very soft Brexit. From what I’ve read they are tentatively going to have to mirror most or all the EU laws in order to keep open borders with Ireland.

It think this cluster F followed by being forced to basically back out of Brexit would be a good thing. Assuming it falls out this way it gives pause to other countries leaving the EU and keeps Britain still pretty much invested in the union.

We’ll need a strong EU to help push back against these right wing fascists that have been trying to weaken the West with some success.

Donald Trump compared his popularity and win to that of Brexit.
Remember?
So if Brexit is in the dumpsters, maybe Donald Trump's agenda will soon follow.\We can only hope.

Looks like someone is still upset I slapped them down.
LOL! You have never slapped anyone down in your life. You're a weak, stupid, little man.

Did you know... Saying you've slapped someone down is not the same as actually slapping someone down? Whatever strength you believe yourself to be feeling is a lie that sits within you festering. It lends itself to how stupid, ugly, impotent and incompetent you'll allow yourself to be.

Brexit is almost as nuts as Trump in the White House.

I think it's more like a constant game of oneupmanship.

---

The only sense that I can make out of the tory party's actions since promising the referendum as part of their election campaign is that they've been thinking only of the next five minutes since 2015. Following that line of thinking to its conclusion, I honestly wonder whether the tory party will continue to destroy itself as it attempts to deliver some kind of Brexit that pleases both factions in the party despite the fact that nothing has changed since Cameron repeatedly tried to get a better deal from the EU before the referendum because the UK doesn't hold any significant cards in such a negotiation. We need the EU, so going from a situation of having a trading partner whose rules we had a say and veto in to having a trading partner and no say in their rules is a net loss.

I'd be surprised if the tories completely destroy themselves, but it might take them a few PMs before they realise that there is no solution that doesn't result in significant egg on their faces. I'm more worried by what happens when they reach that realisation. I can see a whole load of them defecting to UKIP or making some kind of new UKIP.

Brexit is a thousand times worse than Trump being in the White House.

Trump is a short term thing that can be undone, whilst Brexit is permanent.

100000000% this. We need to stand together and we need to push back.

The UK can rejoin the EU later however the terms under which that happens are going to different. No special opt outs or deals likely to be given and re-entry would surely only be granted once it was made impossible for the UK to back out again.

If history repeats itself and the UK ends up economically debilitated while the EU prospers they'll probably be back.

I dont see the uk rejoining. That .. would be admitting they made a mistake.

The uk is just like Sauron. It invested a lot of its life energy in joining europe, and ehile it is stronger in europe, if it leaves it will be much weakened. They lost the dominance of the pound but gained the upper hand in a vast market, which they will now lose WITHOUT getting back a strong pound.

Im not even sure if i want to stay anymore.
