I'm also glad that it looks like most of the french tanks are going to get nerfed. The autoloaders are a little OP and it seems that thier guns rarely bounce. When I'm directly facing you in a KT, I would expect at least 1 bounce out of 5 shots from an equally tiered tank, but that rarely seems to happen. They seem to have a better chance of missing me completely than bouncing.

God we can't have the French tanks beating up on anyone else can we? LMAO Seriously, if it is a Soviet tank that is OP its fine but god forbid if any other nation is top dog or even near to top dog then it has to be nerfed. Of course we can argue the historical aspect of things but if we did that then a French line probably shouldn't exist at all once you get past the Char B1.

i don't really see a problem with the french line either outside of their lights making tier V scouts from other nations useless now. you should never be alone anyways where 1 french tank with an autoloader can kill you.

soviet tanks haven't been op for a very long time now. If anything the tiger series got buffed over and over again so it's hard to say its op at all.

Also the tanks that need nerfing are the loraine 40 and the batchat, they're pretty ridiculous right now.

And speaking of nonexistant tank trees.... where the hell are the fireflies, cromwells, etc etc from the BRITISH... you know, the ones that actually used tanks???

The french line was weird addition to me. You have their tanks up to 1940 then it jumps to after the war. And some of those tanks were in service until the 80s. And considering the majority of french tanks during the actual war was the M4 sherman which isnt available. It makes the addiition more baffling.

That said I know there has to be some balance in the game. But why oh why does the KT top out at 28km\h when in real life it topped at 42km\h? It isnt like the KT is that much better than the IS3 that is requires a 14km\h nerf in top speed. Even more baffling is the E-75 which was supposed to be an upped KT that was a few km\h slower(40kmh) is actually faster in the game.

a lot of tanks have their top speed modified, tiger is not the only one. The general combat speed is way less than that with top varying in different sources, I've seen numbers from as low as 25 to 39 but never 42. The is3 is technically supposed to be faster than its in game counterpart as well.

Also the tiger II is very nimble and has great ground traction. I like its mobility way more than the IS3, which doesn't have great traction and turns like a truck. It's fine if its moving in a straight line but it's like a bigger A-20 in terms of steering.

I know they plan to add a British line. They said so. I figured it would be put in before the French considering they actually fought beyond 1940 but the Devs have their own ideas and such. I'm curious as to what they plan to do with the Japanese line. They didnt have many tanks but they did have lots of design concepts written down they never bothered to actually develope. That's something the WG Devs like to use in this game so I'm waiting to see what that line has when it comes out. Won't be any time soon though.

I'm not even going to worry about japanese lines until they finish bringing british tanks in. Considering how silly it was to have french tanks in before british tanks... and considering the japanese armored divisions were pitiful in comparison to the other nations. Japanese strength during ww2 was in the naval line and air superiority, not in the armored cavalry. In order to make their tanks competitive all of their tanks would have to be concept tanks.

It was bound to happen... I completely ran out of ammo in my MS-1 last night after getting 6 kills. I knew I was in trouble when I was down to 10 shots and there were 3 enemy tanks left. As my inventory dwindled and I did 0% crits I knew I could only hope for a draw. Eventually I had to retreat and pretend to be flanking the enemy and hope they ran out the clock. Nope, they capped and it was another top gun loss for me.

Speaking of Japanese navy in ww2, would a game of "World of Battleships" be fun? I can see the top tier in the Jap line is the Yamato, while TT of US line is the USS Missouri, and you start off with a destroyer, then light to heavy cruiser, then battleship, maybe add submarine in the mix. But navy warfare is in open water over greater distance, so it may be kind of boring though.

it's already in development actually. No idea what they plan to do with it though.

I can't really imagine 2 teams full of battleships slugging it out over open water from miles away to be all that fun. They would probably have to start long before WW2 ships (middle ages or earlier) back when naval warfare was more up close and personal and wind and sea conditions actually mattered.

The same sorta problem is going to exist in world of warplanes. Maps are going to be just alot of open space. Which will just getting pretty boring after awhile. At least now in WoT there is a decent variety of maps. Speaking of which, in the 7.2 trailer one of the new maps (Campania) looks like its a capture the single base type map. So it looks like we might actually get a new game mode finally. I think it'll be alot of fun to slug it out over a single capture point in the middle of the map. I also think they need to up the rewards for base capture/defense.

Too bad they split up the EU/US servers for WOT...
My biggest problem is not being able to stick to 1 tank tree, I keep tring out other trees when I reach Tier 5/6...most extreme gameplay has been with the tier 2 amercan TD..

I would gladly take 100 ms ping penalty for the oppertunity to play with some of my US friends...

Is there not a way for you to get on the US servers somehow? How many people are usually on the EU servers? The US servers usually only have 15-25k people on them most of the time. Sometimes during the weekend it gets in the 35k range. I could see you maybe having to create a new account to play on the US server though, so that could potentially suck if you have significant xp on your current account.

Depending on where you are in Europe and where the US servers are located you're probably looking at a 150-250ms ping if not worse if the US servers are west coast. However I get 15-30ms ping from a town south of Atlanta, so I'm guessing the servers are east coast located. In most cases you should be ok with that ping. You'll need some luck on your side though to hit those T-50-2s.

yea the servers are on the east coast, i'm in los angeles and my ping avg is ~80-110 ish all the time

It's a 100 ms for some (like UK to Ireland)...for others it's more (like Denmark to US (120 ms lantency to US server)...go further east to Russia...and it' more)...and I would hate to have +100ms players in my games...instant /kick...so no thanks.

No way to switch servers atm, there are always rumors about it coming soon (not counting on it)

I'll probably just make a new account to play on the US server... gues I will have to decide which tree to focus on or else i'll end up with 8+ tree's split between 2 accounts...

Clustering was rolled out successfully, however it's main purpose was to provide the Russians with more server space to play in.

As for number,s it's 3:30pm UK time (GMT/UTC) and we have 47k players online in 1.1k games.

Well fuck me. I would have placed 4th in the stuart scavenger hunt. However they only count your first submission, even though no where did I read in the posted rules you can only submit once. So looks like I"m gonna lose out on 4000 gold.

I don't think it stacks that way. Pretty sure the additional skills are multiplicative off the base % instead of additive.

Either way if you have everything maxed out + use consumables, then the gun's firing speed matches the top ROF stated in the specs. Otherwise it's always a little bit lower.

i'm using a t-44 with 100 mm LB-1 (listed at ROF 8.7 rpm, or 1 round every 6.89 seconds) and 100% crew, coated optics, vent and rammer. using a stopwatch on my phone i measured my actual ROF to be....8.7 rpm or 1 every 6.89 seconds.

so the specs are actually the max possible and not the current effect? LAME. this game is hobbled by the bonehead decision making of the devs/management. it's super frustrating at times.

I am fine with that as long as they keep it consistent across all vehicles. It just give you a relative idea of how one gun compares to another. Same thing with damage, it's the best possible case, but a lot of the time my shot makes 0 damage because of bounce.
