Milo - Dangerous

https://www.theguardian.com/books/2...los-book-deal-simon-schuster-dangerous-outcry

Good lord at the people with their panties in a wad over this. Milo is Milo, someone who found his niche and is making bank off of it. I think it was ridiculous that Twitter suspended his account (especially given plenty of the other crap that's allowed to go on on there) and speaks volumes about the company. I also think Brietbart is biased as shit and not worth reading. But good lord.

Number 1 on Amazon. Not a fan of Milo but this still puts a smile on my face. And congrats to Simon & Schuster for still publishing despite the backlash.

Who cares? A racist and misogynistic shitpile is writing a book. It's hardly the first or last time.

It's pretty interesting to me how much of modern conservatism is based around liking things that they think make liberals mad. It's the sign of an intellectually dead movement.

In fskimo's world

white = racist
gay = misogynist
war = peace
freedom = slavery
ignorance = strength

Pretty much. I don't care that Milo wrote a book. I do find the hysteria and backlash against the guy sad and amusing though, and the actions of universities/twitter/etc against him a bit unnerving in the context of free speech.

Free speech is freedom from government restrictions on speech, not freedom from private sanctions on speech.

If anything, being angry about twitter and university reactions to his shiftiness is an attack on free speech.

His banning from Twitter was well deserved. He would have been banned from here too.

And yet Leslie Jones (the person he tweeted about)...

I think they should both be able to tweet whatever the hell they want, but let's not pretend one's racist and the other's not.

Milo used his account almost exclusively for racist trolling. That's why he got banned, not simply for saying one racist thing. It's the same thing that would get him banned here.

He had it coming and he got what he deserved.

Ehh, that's just part of her schtick. It isn't racist, it's just her mocking the racial structure by inverting it. Reality is that most people look at black stylings as different.

Remember: you can explicitly call out people of a different race because of their race, but if you refer to a black woman as "barely literate" without any explicit racial context, it's automatically racist, even if her internet posts indicate a poor grasp of the English language.

How about if you have a long, long history of extreme racism you lose the benefit of the doubt?

tbh I wouldn't call the above Leslie whatever tweets racist either; anyone that gets butthurt over acknowledging racial stereotypes and that they usually have some basis in reality deserves their tears. It's amazing to look at videos of stand-up comedians from the 90s and earlier and how offensive they were by today's standards. No one can take a joke anymore.

Examples, aside from "cuck" jokes?

Just google him. His behavior on twitter was eaaaaasily ban worthy. The most notable thing was that he wasn't banned sooner. Anyone behaving like him on here would have been gone a long time ago.

Understood. Not racist. Just part of her schtick.

Uh, it isn't racist because racism is kicking down. She isn't kicking down here at all.

She has complained that she has a hard time finding men to date her...because she doesn't fit in with our beauty standards.

Yeah I just went through like ten pages of Google Images searching 'milo yiannopoulous racist' to make sure I didn't miss anything obvious, and only found Leslie Jones stuff and a cuck joke where he said Ben Shapiro's wife had a half-black son. I'm not a fan of him at all and until the Twitter drama only knew him as that gay guy that gets to troll about how women belong in the kitchen on national television, but as far as I can tell, being a professional troll pays too well for him to cross racial lines.

Even though she's a comedian I think for those Tweets alone the stupid wise and beautiful woman should also be banned. Apply the same rule for everybody without exception.
