Some of us discovered 2 days ago that the marketplace is location aware. That night I had about 10 wood auctions where as the other people only had 1.

Doh - If anyone wants to trade mercury for sulfur (or wood or ore for that matter) i could do a caravan as well. I've never used the caravan though!

For those of us that lost land to those that expanded, I take it that we don't get that back even when we expand unless we surpass the other guy in domination.
Also for when you overrun an ally, it seems the boundaries just merge. Anything you noticed Pheran? It might be interesting if we all expand eventually. Also when you try to capture cities, if you control all the lands around it, it captures much faster. Might make those others in our area easy pickings for alliance members.

How does population work as far as max army size/recruits?
What's the up/down side to expansion? I "lost" a square to a neighbor expanding. Did I really lose anything?
Finally, the lands in "my control" WTF can I do with them? I see resources I want. >.>

From my understanding, travel is easier through territory that your alliance controls. Not sure if you faced with halts if traveling through friendly areas. Also settling is cheaper in lands that you control as opposed to free land and you can't settle in lands controlled by others.
You need to start a new city in that square and then clear the mines before you can start collecting from the mines there. You need a certain Domination rank before you can make a new town and you're limited to 3 in free play. Near me there's a square with 2 gold mines that I'm eyeing but I have a feeling I won't be making a new city for quite awhile.
Has anybody gotten to the "Using the power of magic" quest? I have a caster, but she's still level one, scouting to get exp, but having a kind of rough time.
If anyone has finished this quest, can you tell me what quest follows it? (As I would have to invest in the mage hall, and fight with a crappy hero, etc)
Or if someone knows, can they tell me whether you need to have a quest to complete it, ie. if the next quest was to get an Outstanding Victory, and I did that before magic would I get credit?
Does anyone know where there is a quest list in general?

I've been on jury duty and some work training for a couple of days, so I've been too busy to contribute much, but I am still alive.
I just started a City Hall build this evening - that was pricey! I've been focusing on gold production above all else, since gold seems to be extremely important. I did make it to rank 1 in wealth, the extra 7K reward was nice.

yeah i was saving up for city hall, but then my quest line has me needing magic.
so that's a small detour. probably won't start building city hall for about three days i think.
really regretting building two levels of stupid blacksmith early on.

From what I've read, It's used for sieges. not worth building at the beginning as they are so expensive
