Get the GreaseMonkey script for FireFox too. Saves so much time on data entry. It sets up your Hero's attributes and the enemy units for you.

http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/79617

I've just used the Jactari one so far. Not sure how Le Scribe works and Le Vigie isn't getting the entire scout report details exported.

RANDOM TIP: If you have spells, you can choose which round of battle you want the spell cast.

How is this script supposed to work? I go to a battle scene and then click on Jactari but nothing happens. I've tried with no script, no luck.

I just got 5 vampires (about 3500 army value - infantry) from "Asha's Gift". Popped up as a quest, but didn't have to do anything but accept it.

Why couldn't I get free shooters? :D

I'm in a slow spot right now. I've cleared all of the areas around my castle that I can. The rest are 18k+ unit power, while my entire army is only about 11k. I don't really have much gold either. Building a research tower now and really just waiting for gold and units to build up.

When looking at the light spells there are two level ones. Divine Strength (attack) and bless (defense). But when I look at a stack it only shows unit power, are attack and defense the same value? During combat which is used when? Is it all a matter of if you're attacking or defending?

are you clicking from the battle screen? the button is disabled except in that view. set up your troops as you want, then click jactari. it should open a new tab of this page - http://mmhk.jactari.info/fight with your hero & both army info's prepopulated. saves a ton of time.

Hero got captured during scouting, now what? Lol

Email the person and see if you can negotiate.

Can you just cut the hero loose?

Edit: Someone early on mentioned putting the slider all the way up (taking the most time) makes you less likely to be caught. I've been doing it, even though it means each mission takes far longer. I haven't been spotted since.

ive been able to take out armies much stronger than mine by exploiting the type bonuses. at first i thought i was in a holding pattern too, then i started simulating some battles and found I could defeat stronger armies. though, i still cant clear the weakest (~7k) outer space bc their strength is my current army weakness

if you click on the rankings then players tab, there will be a banner above the player list. for most people it will say Rank 0 --- Next Rank 1 at score 34,000. Did you rank up in domination, the reward is 5 units it seems?

QQ, my weakest outer ring is 14k, and is versus my army weakness (I need shooters).

I didn't rank up, still rank 0, at 25,000/34,000. But that's reward is exactly what I got.

weird... shooters are my weakness too. what i just realized though... my first military building allowed me to build low level shooter versions of my low level infantry. there is the option to convert all the EXISTING infantry into shooters for free. if i had done that earlier it would have helped a bunch. this was with necro, not sure on other races

I'm necro, too - how do I convert? I'm totally not seeing it.

Aha, found it! Not sure how I missed the 4x4 pixel button before! Lol.

go to recruit screen. at the bottom it will say Hero/Town army and list your stacks there. look for your skeleton stack, there should be a little arrow that says upgrade this unit stack. when u click it, they will all become skeleton archers, permanently. so if u dont want them all to be converted, split the stack first.

i only noticed this after i teched up to plague zombies. i have the option to upgrade my normal zombies to plague zombies, but at a price. the skel -> skel archers was free

this is all assuming you can recruit skel archers already

I got a gift too, but mine was only 2 lumber and 2 ore.

yeah, looks like it is a random occurrence:
During the first 30 days, players will receive a gift of resources or creatures to help them on their development.

ouch. didn't know that was possible. makes more sense, then, to scout only ATOT/ATOT2, in case there's a possibility to exchange. I sent out my first 2 scouts last night to ATOT2 towns nearby. put the slider way up for cheaper/longer missions, and b/c I'm asleep so whatever.

one hero had "poor" scouting but still got a lot of army info and 121.xxx XP. The other had "great" scouting with lots of hero and army detail and 127.xxx XP.

i've been avoiding the stronger armies, but have noticed that in some battles where I massively overpower weaker stacks, my strongest lead stack will quickly overpower their second stack, but then be routed (even 30:1 advantage, rofl) by the next enemy stack if those have a bonus over my primary stack. so yeah, looks like taking out much stronger armies is certainly possible.

apparently, honor is tied into you taking out strong armies, rather than bullying the weaker ones. My honor sucks balls right now because I like to go in with huge troop advantage.

My army right now is ~18k+ :\

While I have a total army strength a little over 23k, my last few fights (against outer ring) have been with armies of strength: ~7600, ~7600, ~6000, ~6500.

My point is that in general, you want to use as small an army as possible, to get more exp, and also that if you play around with it, and have the right troop composition (which can be pretty difficult at this point, i know), you don't need a big army.

The opposition in all those cases was 10-15k range.

I did that, there was probably a 10k different and got 2.5k of exp. Gained 2 levels from the one fight.

Are the army losses not a real concern for you all, then?

Here's a fight I'm looking at doing - should I remove archers until I barely win the first round, or what?

LINK

By the look of the calc, I'm going to lose like 30 archers (5 days of recruiting). Am I reading it wrong?

yeah IMO you should try to win each round as barely as possible, unless that stack is going to fight multiple rounds (end their last round barely winning), or is the final stack to fight.

you will get the most xp for close battles like this. looks like you can drop to 68/29, reducing your losses to 20/8 respectively. you COULD keep your last stack maxed out to reduce their losses, but you will lose XP. thats up to you, but i would def reduce the first stack.
